I just saw a brilliant Swedish film called "Fyra veckor i juni" which is Swedish for "Four Weeks in June". It was about an elderly woman (Ghita Nörby) and a younger woman (Tuva Novotny) and some Polish guestworkers existing in and around an old house under reconstruction. So many stories were told and so many secrets were revieled and the whole atmosphere of the film was close to magic. I relly can´t understand why so much crap is produced in Sweden when the ability to make such a great film really is there. Brilliant acting between the two women and a highly suggestive photo and a very nice music score even if The Soundtrack of Our Lives isn´t one of my favorite bands. But that´s the music the younger woman likes to play when she´s alone in her appartment.

I must confess that I didn´t think it was a film for me but gee was I wrong. Luckily it was on one of the non commercial channels so there were no intermissions for commercial breaks. Unfortunately my coffee went cold cause I simply wouldn´t or couldn´t walk away from the story. Bad thing I saw it alone. This was a film I could have sit up all night and discuss.

Brilliant! Directed by one for me unknown man by the name of Henry Meyer. I strongly recommend it. Check the link below and click on "trailer"

by the way i've always thought that even though it was sort of in the background, sometimes that one big candle looks to be dangerously close to robert's hair 8which was rather massive around that time).

(can't quickly find a proper pic in the web, it's easier to spot on the video)

glad that he didn't lean too much back and right... or...  and maybe they had the fire department in full alert behind the scenes, just in case.
