With all this controversy regarding the British press covering of the RAH gigs, perhaps it isn't a bad idea to bring up this thread again...

I just would like to add for the moment that perhaps only for the period from 'Disintegration' to 'Wish' did The Cure receive more or less generally favourable reviews in the British papers, as far as I can recall. For instance, I remember 'Wish' getting a very good review on NME (or was it Melody Maker?) and one those papers also mentioned around 1990-91 The Cure as being 'everyone's favourite alternative band', or a similar thing.
