This... the sound...

🤭😧😂😂

I read about this in the papers this morning, but I hadn't heard it! It's supposed to scare away burglars!? No wonder your laughing, because the rationale behind this whole thing is not normal   :D

This belting out at 2am in the morning, I can see why the neighbours were freaking out

He's meanwhile regarded as a writer and not necessarily as philosopher.

I'm not even sure whether you're both talking the same subject here! ("The Secret" is a book which was quite popular 15 years ago or so. Basic message was that the universe will send you what you wish for... And no, I haven't read it either.)

Sorry, but when I read "old chestnut" it reminded me of Schopenhauer, and I mentioned him first. That's why I have overlooked The Secret in that moment. Never heard of that book before. I do care about my words
and sentences, by the way. Sorry again for the confusion.

Hey, no problem, confusion can happen easily with our cross-chat here (which goes between different person back and forth)...
And I've had the impression that you do care indeed.  :cool

It's getting dark earlier and colder. The sky is a gradient of colours, from the darkest blue to an orange. The dreaded Christmas season is upon us already  :neutral-face

Amazing how there's balance in it all, like yin and yang :)
Here in Australia we are finally out of winter and spring is here! There's some warmth back in the air, flowers everywhere are blooming, and the atmosphere feels noticeably different. The sky is no longer completely overcast, but instead there's beautiful blue skies, and in the mornings a magical pink hue ...gorgeous...so glad it's spring again

Today is pretty grey and cold, but yesterday we had a nice late summer day here, which was great.
To be honest, I'm not yet thinking about Xmas at all... nearer to it, I might even enjoy it (the lights in the darker time of year)... will see.  :cool

You'll have to post pictures of flowers here for me! There is nothing as glorious as the first stages of spring when the world around you comes alive with colour <3

Same here. Yesterday we had a hailstorm. The heating costs bill was a shocker...
