Anyone got an idea on how long the headliner gets to play?
Quote from: othervoices on November 04, 2008, 12:53:05
Anyone got an idea on how long the headliner gets to play?
I'm not sure how long they'll play, but would imagine it won't be the three hours we're used to for a normal Cure gig. Maybe an hour and a half? :smth017
Mmmm very very interesting.... :smth047
Me and disintegration are thinking about what to do... :smth090
Maniac Street Preachers headlined the last NME festival, they played thirteen songs so I guess about one hour. I can't say how long our boys are going to play until we don't know the entire program. But I don't think they will play shorter then 90 minutes.
Hopefully we'll have some members attending. Anyone? Remember that tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am.
Strange that the other bands haven't been announced. :smth017
does anyone know if they've only got a 30 minute slot?
in the blurb for the brixton gig robert says: "We'll play some new stuff, some old stuff and some stuff from in between, trying to distil 30 years into 30 minutes"
Quote from: seahag on November 04, 2008, 21:53:22
does anyone know if they've only got a 30 minute slot?
yes, in the NME awards, the day before (http://curefans.com/index.php/topic,5746.0.html)
If it sells out right away with just Cure fans, maybe they won't add many other acts, as there will be lots of other award shows. Did the tickets just go on sale for the Manics last year to begin with?
Last year the headliners only played for one hour :?
Quote from: Dillinger on November 05, 2008, 04:15:00

Yes, I said it lines before. But I don't think The Cure will headline a show just to play one hour. Really not.
Well, I will try and be there. It really depends on how much tickets are and whether I can convince some friends to go with me. I wish they'd given us more notice.
Did some research, you can expect tix to be around £35-40 each so not too bad at all.
tickets are £30 plus £4 booking fee
tixs, flights, hotel booked and prayer tour t-shirt packed!!!
I expect it will be a "pop" based show... or will RS put a subtle twist to the headline performance???? :smth023

was it good? i'm still not sure about this O2 arena. How is the sound in there? i don't want to spend 30 quid and go home pissed off.
Hope its more than an hour!!!
I'm in for this one.
If anyone has any extra standing tix give me a shout.
Totally forgot about the presale this morning.
quoting Robert's words: it's hard to distill 30 years of career in 30 minutes...."
i'm hoping more standing tickets will be available on Monday
at the moment it seems like there aren't any available.
If I can get tickets..then I'll be one step closer to deciding if I can and how the hell
I'm going to make it there. :)
I really hope they play a usual length concert....but it seems they have several other supporting bands
hmm I don't really know any of the other bands..and I
would prefer if they didn't play.
Only Cure :)
Pre-sale tickets are available again through Ticketmaster.
http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/1200415F7D1A445E?did=uknmeps&brand=theo2
Nothing on the floor, but a few alright 100 level spots are coming up. I'd imagine floor seats will be available once the general sale begins. Get 'em quick, though. They'll surely be gobbled up in no time at all.
btw, it says "under 16's not permitted in the standing area". Is this common in London, Europe in general, the arena, or perhaps just for this event? Sorry kids, but I like that rule. :smth023
So, when do people think there will be more standing tickets on sale? On Monday?
I don't understand how this works, is it just a presale until Monday and then more tickets are being released or what?
OK, I understand now. It's currently a presale, but the general sale begins at 9am on Monday. Crowbi, are you sure that more standing will be released? I really, really don't want seats.
Quote from: Dillinger on November 06, 2008, 10:57:57
Crowbi, are you sure that more standing will be released? I really, really don't want seats.
That's the way it
normally works with Ticketmaster and presales in the U.S (it's an attempt to get more good seats to the fans instead of scalpers, though a password is always used). I can't be sure about The U.K., but would assume only a portion of the standing tickets were sold during the pre.
Thank you. That's how it works here too, including the password bit, that's what has thrown me off. I'll be skipping school on Monday to ensure my tickets :smth023
They only had seats left :( better than nothing though.
yep, seats : (
i totally forgot and overslept, was only pulling seats when i got to ticketmaster.
if anyone has one or two standing tickets to sell, let me know please!!!
The 'no under 16s' in standing area is pretty common in the UK as a whole, can't speak for the whole of Europe though. As its fair to assume this will be something of a Greatest Hits set(and half the length) I'll hold off until a proper 'Cure show'. The L.A. thing sounds appealing actually....(*packs bags/toothbrush*)

Well, I was checking some info in the web and, unfortunately, I won't go.
As a peruvian citizen I need a visa to travel to the UK. The resident permit I have only allows me to travel within the "Schengen zone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Agreement)", which means that I can travel freely with this permit in the following EU countries:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden;
and the following non-EU countries: Iceland, Norway and Switzerland.
But not the UK :P
I could apply for the visa, but I need to pay 70 euro for the application plus my time in the embassy.
I better wait for The Cure to give some concerts in one of these Schengen countries :D
I'm going!! I just decided last week. Can't wait!!

I'll do what I can, guys! I don't have a cell phone but I'll be with people who do so maybe we can work out sending back a few messages before/during the show. And afterwards, once I'm back home, I'll tell all!
I'm so excited. I didn't think I'd see the Cure again for a long time after Atlanta last year so this is going to be such a gift.
don't worry about the videos, pics and set list would be fine. and any comments/ curiosities :smth023
I'll be there. Arriving to London the 25th. It will be awesome. My first cure event ever. I've been waiting for so long :smth010 :smth007 :smth081
Turns out several of our party have cell phones and don't mind texting so probably the setlist and a few pics are a GO!
Also we'll be waiting in line for standing room for a long time so can send reports from there, not that they'll be very interesting...;)
Long shot here, but does anyone have standing tickets coming their way and want to swap for seats?
Per NME:
Franz Ferdinand have completed the line-up for the 2009 Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig.
The Scots will play ahead of The Cure's full 90-minute set at the 02 Arena in London on February 26.
Crystal Castles and White Lies are also on the bill.
The show takes place the day after this year's Shockwaves NME Awards ceremony, which is being held at Brixton Academy, and will see The Cure crowned as 2009 Godlike Geniuses.
Speaking about joining the Big Gig bill, Franz Ferdinand frontman Alex Kapranos told NME.COM: "We've always fancied playing the Millennium Dome and it's great to share the stage with The Cure - one of the greatest British bands of the last 30 years."
"Godlike Geniuses" hmmm. didn't Jane's Addiction win that last year?
Don't get me wrong... ah I can't be bothered...
I just updated the first post of this topic (http://curefans.com/index.php/topic,5747.msg58334.html#msg58334) with the list of confirmed curefans.com members going to this show (if someone is missing please let me know by sending me a private message)
If anyone knows of a good place for a meeting prior the concert please suggest it very soon. Concert is around the corner!

yes it would be wise to call them right away. :!:
perhaps it's a useless question, but are you sure the deal was they were going to mail the tickets for you? every time i've gone to a concert in the UK and regardless of which ticket agency i used, i've never received my tickets via mail. the agencies always refused to send abroad (a lousy policy) and i always had to collect the tickets from the arena on the day of the concert.
i really dislike that policy and it screwed up one concert for me totally, of which i'm still pissed. :x but it seems to be a common policy in the UK, that's what i've gathered.
anyway, i hope you get your tickets in time.
i'll be there too (or at least think so...)

No, I have seats and want standing.
Wouldn't worry about the tickets, I'm in the UK and haven't received them yet. I don't think they've sent any out.
reely??
that makes me still hope, haha
and yes, japanesebaby i actually selected the feedex delivery, paid 4it as well, but still no mail..
if anth goes wrong, shall i have to collect the ticks @ the arena the same day, or do i have to go to the ticket center the day before??
I quote. Quoting
Q:I live outside the UK. Will you mail my tickets to me?
A:It is not always possible to post tickets overseas. You will need to collect them at the venue, if:
- the tickets would normally be despatched by secure mail (£4.80 transaction fee), or
- the event is less than 20 days away.
In these circumstances, or if you have requested to collect your tickets from the venue, they are available for collection one hour prior to the start of the performance. Please take the card you booked with, and quote your reference number when you collect your tickets.

i've had an experience with an UK agency once where i had also chosen & paid(!) for a delivery by mail but still they did not mail them to me. only a few days before the show i received an email saying that they have not and will not send the tickets but i need to collect them at the venue. that sucked!
so if i were you, i would call the agency.
besides, mail to mainland does take more time than mail within UK, so they should post earlier than to their UK customers.
the last thing you'd want is your ticket being stuck in the mail or something.
call them...
i've called them 3 times so far, and they keep on sayin that if i won't have received the tickets 10 days before i leave greece, then i should give them a call
it reely pisses me off
cut ticketmaster is reliable
at least i thought so
I have 2 standing tickets for sale for this gig.
Unfortunately 2 of my friends have just notified me that they cannot attend the show, so I thought I would offer them on here to fans, rather than go down the EBay route.
I am selling them for face value (£35) plus whatever the postage charge is. Please note that as of today (26/1) the tickets have not been received (none have been sent out yet), but I will post them as soon as I receive them myself.
.
Alternatively I am happy to meet up in London on the day of the gig to pass the tickets on, as I am definitely attending myself.
Please PM or email me if interested.
Here's a list of bars near the O2 Arena that can be good for a meeting prior the concert
http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/pubsandbars/o2-bars-recommended-london-353.html
Can you please take a look and let me know which one would be good for the Curefans meeting? Or propose anything different?

"Please read on for further information regarding your tickets for the Big Gig/The Cure at The O2 on 26 February.
We understand you have purchased these tickets from Trinity St, but Trinity St has not fulfilled this transaction and delivered these tickets to you. It appears that Trinity St has now ceased trading and, as of Monday 16th February, was very likely to go into administration. Please note that Trinity St has not accounted to us for any of these ticket monies, and therefore your ticket purchases are invalid.
You may wish to apply directly to the administrators of Trinity St for a refund of your ticket monies (we set out their address below). However, we appreciate that this may take some time and may well not be successful. Alternatively, you may seek to claim a refund of your monies through your credit/debit card company. We also set out some information on this below.
In the meantime, we have managed to make available to you for purchase similar floor standing tickets (as per your original order) which we will hold for you till Saturday 21st February at 6pm. Please use the BUY link and unique passcode, listed below, if you wish to purchase these tickets while you are going through the claims process. This passcode is unique to you and not transferable. Please ensure you use the same postal address for delivery as your original order as any other orders will unfortunately be cancelled. "
(Trinity Direct who dealt with the presale tickets have gone into administration)
Have had to re-purchase tickets....
here's the rest of the info - not much cop if you still wnt to stand and have no money...
"If you feel you are not in a position whereby you are able to afford to purchase the tickets that have been held for you, we have a limited number of complimentary tickets in the rear seated blocks on Tier 400. If you would like to apply for these tickets, please send your request to enquiries@aeglive.co.uk including all of the following information: name, address, date of transaction, no. of tickets purchased from Trinity St, and method of payment by Friday 20th February at 6pm at the latest. We will confirm back to you by 12 noon on Monday 23rd February if your request can be fulfilled. We will try to accommodate as many such requests as possible, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate everyone. Unfortunately, please bear in mind that the location of these complimentary tickets is towards the back of the arena in the top level, seated, and not standing tickets as per your original request."

GREAT NEWS FOR CURE FANS AND NME BIG GIG TICKET HOLDERS
Original Purchases are now Valid.
We are extremely pleased to be able to inform you that we have found a solution with Trinity Street, the providers of your pre-sale tickets, that will now allow your original purchase of Big Gig tickets featuring The Cure to remain valid. These tickets will be despatched to you on Monday, by registered post. Please note that they will need to be signed for upon delivery.
If you have already re-purchased tickets via the link and password we supplied to you, we will automatically have these tickets cancelled and your repurchase monies refunded to you in full, including all transaction fees. If you purchased replacement tickets via any other source, or direct to the Ticketmaster site, please contact us at enquiries@aeglive.co.uk with your purchase details and we will arrange to have these refunded.
If you requested complimentary tickets this order will now be cancelled as your original tickets are on their way to you.
Please do not continue with any claims from your payment card provider, there is no need to request a refund as your original tickets are on their way to you.*
We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience that you may have experienced. The unexpected demise of Trinity Street so close to the concert and the resultant financial issues led us to initiate a repurchase and refund process. However NME and AEG Live have been working non-stop to find a resolution and we are pleased to be able to end the week with this great news.
So please do look forward to receiving your tickets and of course we hope that you enjoy The Big Gig itself.
See you on Thursday!
NME & AEG Live
* Please note that if your credit card company does provide you with a refund then we will need to contact you directly to re-charge for the gig tickets.
Ticket update for the pre-sale fans:
(I recieved tickets on Monday without having to sign for them, so was a bit nervous about them being the valid tix)
"The tickets that re-purchased have been cancelled and refunded for you. The set that you received yesterday appear to be these on as we did not send out the valid ones until yesterday afternoon so you could not have received those until today at the earliest.
Your valid tickets will arrive with a letter in enclosed advising that they are indeed the valid one."
I'm hopining that they arrive on Wednesday!!
So irritated :(.
My friend can't get off work on Thursday so we're not even leaving peterborough till about 5.30! Meaning we won't get to london till 7.30, MEANING we then have to catch a cab to the 02 from parking, because lets face it,there's going to be no parking left by 7.30 is there. Which is a 12/13 minute drive according to websites.
So we won't even get there till about 8 :(
How easy do people think it's gonna be to push our way forward?
I'm NOT being right at the back while the cure are on, I'll have a B.F!
x
Has anyone been to the o2 before? Me and my friend are going to try convince them we dropped our tickets in the standing area and had just gone out to the loo, maybe half way through crystal castles set. Do you think this will work? We have seats, would rather be standing.
all those going to the gig, have a good time :smth023

thanks cure.......one more great night.
so how was it? any reviews/details we should know? anything different than on the 4tour? :)
i promised myself i wouldn't complain about the set list - so i won't. ;)
Was a great show, shame I had to miss the last 2 songs to run for the tube. One Hundred Years was my personal favourite.
underneath the stars, from the edge of the deep green sea, the perfect boy, the end of the world, sleep when i'm dead, a forest, three imaginary boys, shake dog shake, maybe someday, the only one, inbetween days, just like heaven, primary, want, the hungry ghost, disintegration, one hundred years, it's over,
E1: boys don't cry, jumping someone else's train, grinding halt, 10:15 saturday night, killing an arab.
Much better show than I had anticipated, with a much better history of the cure rather than "radio friendly hits".
Camera battery died before the cure came on, so have had to make do with very bad images from a mobile phone... several in the 2009 gallery now....
The whole gig was filmed, hopefully material will be used on the 30th anniversay DVD.
A really tight performance!

Go on and complain if you'd like. But really, I don't see much to complain about and you know that I'm usually one to have a strong opinion on song selection. ;)
One song from each album :smth023
Used the opportunity to promote 4:13 Dream :smth023
First time since Disintegration came out that only one song from the album was played. :smth023 Not that I dislike those songs, just refreshing to not hear standards such as Pictures of you and Lullaby.
A completely mixed up main set. :smth023 A Forest, Three Imaginary Boys...Great to keep the fans wondering what was coming next, even if the songs themselves weren't a surprise.
Underneath the Stars > FTEOTDGS :smth023 Nice way to open a show.
Primary > Want > The Hungry Ghost > Disintegration > One Hundred Years > It's Over :rocker Now that stretch is f*cking ace!
My one complaint is no Push. :( I'd have preferred it over Inbetween Days. Not surprised that it wasn't played given the one song per album theme.
Of course this is just my opinion. Please share yours.
It was an excellent show...yes fukcing excellent !!!
The sound, the crowd and THE band !!!!
UTS + FTEOTDGS : A good introduction
A very short version of A Forest...arghhhhhhhhhhhhh
Primary > Want > The Hungry Ghost > Disintegration > One Hundred Years > It's Over : SIMPLY Amazingggggggggggggggggggggg :smth023
But on It's Over, voice problem...

so how was it? any reviews/details we should know? anything different than on the 4tour? :)
i promised myself i wouldn't complain about the set list - so i won't. ;)
Please share yours.
well, maybe i won't bother you with mine after all. ;) especially as i in no way did mean to drag anyone's spirits down. so let's just forget it.
but i sort of meant the good ol' encores when i said that.Quote from: Druide on February 28, 2009, 07:56:43
But on It's Over, voice problem...
hmm that's a bit bad news. i hope it doesn't mean he can't do really long shows anymore?
According to COF the Big Gig is going to be shown on NME TV on Friday 6th March at 12pm and 10pm :!:
In terms of good sequences don't omit the "a forest, three imaginary boys, shake dog shake, maybe someday" stretch of the mainset - it's the first time since I started attending cure shows that I've seen 3IB in the main set, first time since '89 (I think, need to check) that a forest has been in a mainset (for me).. great mix up of the usual contenders. Maybe someday was probably my biggest supprise - and shake dog shake just does "it" every time for me... loving the shadow video backdrop - just looks so cool.
In terms of omissions, lovesong and push are notable - but quite acceptable given time limits imposed. Playing disintegration rather than a usual '89 suspect was refreshing, it even had slightly different guitar... Primary had the "proper" muffled guitar strings at the beginning - something I don't think I've heard since 92.
Did I mention HOW GOOD THIS WAS!!!!!!
I really hope this show has been taped ;).
and here is the t-shirt - face on front, words on back. I like the use of the number/dream theme that has been used...

The shirt is basically the same as the one offered at the LA shows last December. 12:08 instead of O2:09, though. I gather we'll be seeing some 4:09 shirts at the shows in April. Hey, these Dream gigs seem to happen in pairs every other month. Makes me wonder if there will be two concerts in June, August, October...

Was a great show, shame I had to miss the last 2 songs to run for the tube. One Hundred Years was my personal favourite.
i stayed til the end and i managed to get the tube on time. the crowd control worked surprisingly well outside the station.
I had to change over, that was the one I was in danger of missing. Made the last train with like a minute to spare.
@ david: any chance we could rip it? or watch it online somehow ??
i totally looooooved the gig
robert was awesome
the 1st support band 'white lies' was fantastic
but The Cure..
omg
i just have no words
all i could do was just stare @ him..
lovely gig
=)
I was in the same situation as you dillinger so missed the last 2 songs
but did catch my train, after a tiring sprint through St. Pancras station
a great night all round though, The Cure in my eyes just get better and better every time I see them, highlights for me Underneath the Stars, Primary, One Hundred Years and Disintegration
the band looked like they were really enjoying themselves too, and Robert was more chatty than usual :smth023
It was somewhat ironic that as they played Jumping Someone Else's Train people began running for their train  We managed to wait till Grinding Halt though.

it's really annoying to be forced to leave because of some damn transport issue. :smth091
by the way that's one more reasons why gigs without support bands are often so much better.
We booked the holiday inn express just down the road - made the whole concert more relaxing not having to worry about public transport - been in that situation myself, it's not much fun!

i left after the last song was over, b4 the standin crowd (the pros of havin seatin ticks, haha)
and i caught my train & went back without bein in a hurry =)
trains were workin till 12 i think
I just looked at the TV guide and the gig is being shown on NME TV at midday this friday (UK time) under the name 'The Big Gig'. The channel is only on sky so is there anyway someone could rip it and upload it to rapidshare or something like that? :P I have been looking arround and I don't think you can view NME TV online, but maybe they will upload it to youtube like they did with last year's. There must be some way I can get hold of it!
Edit: Actually I just looked on the NME homepage and in the video 'The NME Agenda' it says it will be on E4 this wednesday at 9PM (UK), but on 4's TV guide it says there is cheaper by the dozen on at that time, and the only search results on the TV schedule is the big gig mentioned above :x
what about this site??
http://www.viewtv.co.uk/NME
That's quite strange because every time i go on it it is just this looping dance music or something (not the stuff that NME would play), that's been going on for ages, with some pictures of volcanoes, caves and surfers. There is no NME logo in the corner but there is a Dance 247 ad in the corner.
At the moment according to the schedule NME TV is showing Awards 09 special, so I don't think that is a proper stream. I dought that anyone would stream the channel, as not many people watch it.
WOW what a night!
I will say that I'll think twice before going to a show like this again with such a big floor. The pushing and shoving in the crowd was really scary at times. We were on the rail right in front of Porl and I really thought I was going to get crushed more than once!
The security guys in the front brought WATER to the crowd all through the show, though, which was incredibly thoughtful. Yay O2!
The performance itself was great--I LOVED the setlist, Robert was smiling and seemed to really enjoy himself, and apart from Crystal Castles the other bands were great too. Some of the crowd around me didn't seem to know the newer stuff like Hungry Ghost and It's Over. The place went NUTS for the encore though.
Glad I went even if I nearly got smushed in the process.
so no chance 2 watch it, huh?

ps: any news 4 NME TV ??
I think we'll just have to hope someone uploads it, but maybe for people in the UK it may be on E4 or 4music maybe, as they had it last year and NME said it would be on tonight at 9 on E4, but the TV guide doesn't see it that way.

Big Gig airs two days early
Remember that Big Gig special that was supposed to air on the NME channel this Friday? Yeah, it actually aired tonight. Here's a report: "NME Big Gig was on tonight, opened with Underneath The Stars and also played Shake Dog Shake, The Only One, Just Like Heaven, The Hungry Ghost, One Hundred Years, It's Over, 10:15 Saturday Night, Killing An Arab.
Also some great interview pieces with Robert, a couple of White Lies & Franz Ferdinand and 2 from Crystal Castles (unfortunately). It was on NME TV Channel 382 (UK Sky) - 2 days early - they always seem to muddle up the listings on music channels!" (Thanks Marc.)
Update: "According to today's NME which has an advert about it, its also on:
Thursday 5th - 11PM
Friday 6th - 12PM and 10PM
Saturday 7th - 5 PM
Sunday 8th - 3PM and 12AM
Monday 9th - 11AM and 8PM
Tuesday 10th - 4PM and 12AM"
(Thanks Beau, AndrewV127, and Marc.)
so when they said E4 what they actually ment was NME TV. Damn! Anyone upload it for us? :smth100
yeah, anyone pls??
btw
r the awards in brixton also on the way 2 NME TV??
You can watch the awards online (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAJGkYCQPu8 has the cure), also in HQ
Watched the O2 show on NME TV last night - actually a goood programme, featuring interviews with RS throughout the show, almost a narration of the event. Interesting insights into Roberts passion for a good live show and an appreciation of the fans perspective.
It turns out that he wanted the original set to be two songs off each album - infact this is what was rehersed on the Saturday prior to the gig - it took 2hrs 36min to play - so too long for the event/public transport. I wonder what the second song from "the top" could have been with the current line-up????! It also appeared evident that the final setlist was not agreed until the very last minute, with the kiss and lullaby almost making the set to represent their respective albums.
I'm sure bits of the programme will get onto youtube etc, or some brighter person than I will have worked out a way to upload it to the net.

Delibertely made to sound bad so people like me dont rip and add to youtube! :P
But why do they care about people uploading it to youtube? They've finished it on NME TV now.
They uploaded last year's big gig to youtube themselves, in fairly decent quality, and you can download it from rapidshare.

the walk to the stage (in the beginning) - i'm surprised that porl can actually walk normally on those platform shoes!
underneath the stars: by the way they've totally stolen the start on the background video screens from Muse who've used that for 'starlight' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cix6xLpJS7w) in 2006 (it was the original background effect, they've changed it since that). hmm.

Hmmmm.... I don't think the best band of the planet (and that's The Cure) needs to stole anything to anyone... and I honestly think the background with the flying stars have been seen so many times in any context that to say that it "belongs" to someone is not accurate, in my opinion. Examples:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fggwq8yJvDg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neoE6ruCAFM
I mean, the video is not that original ;)

that's what i mean: it's not original. (so if they indeed are) the best band, then they could/should have come up with something more original than something that has been seen so many times (like you said too)... i didn't mean they stole it from Muse specifically - the example was meant to demonstrate that they took something that has indeed been used a million times. your examples only enhance this fact.
(and at least Muse added the green laser show to their "version"... ;)).
just look at all their other screens/video projections in their live shows:
the others are genuinely original. just like they should be. i really like many of them. so why didn't they invent something slightly more original for 'underneath the stars' too?
(it's not criticism against the song/performance by the way.)

your first comment made me thought about you thinking they "stoled" the idea from Muse directly, but I see your point. I guess we will have to wait for the "real" 4:13 Dream Tour to see if they keep this video or change it for another...

now that i read my original post again, maybe i meant that too: i mean, for me
personally they've stolen it from that song i mnetioned. that's just the way i associate that star effect. but when put into a larger context, it seems like everyone's stolen it from someplace else - which makes it a bit uninspiring.
