Did you know that Robert Smith wanted Alan Wilder (ex-Depeche Mode) in the band?

I only knew from one of his very early interviews that he couldn't
imagine to play with Depeche Mode longer than ten years.Anyway
it was clever from Robert to ask him.What a shame because I liked
the stuff from Alan. :(
