Hello everyone,

In the live performance of Caen (France) 07.07.1989, one can hear a version of 'lullaby' that is quite different from the usual one, and is rather similar of the 'extended remix' version.

Thus, although i never read anything at the time of the Pleasure Trip in 1990 about the singles being played live "the Mixed Up way", i was wondering if you could tell me if you ever came across a version of a single played live that could be close to the version of the 'Mixed Up' album?

thanks in advance for your help!

Matti

In N.Y. on Halloween 1997, they played a Closer Mix version of Close To Me.

Thanks Matti!

I've found the concert but can't manage to listen to it, it's an .ace file, and don't know how to listen to it  :(

.ace should be an extension similar to .zip, so you should unzip it first.

sorry if it's an unnecessary question but are you sure you don't have .ac3 instead of .ace?

hello japanesebaby, thanks for your message,

no it's an .ace, i'm sure of that. I know i have to sort of double clic on it to unzip it by a program, but i have a Mac, i have a lready tried to install such a program, and it seems to have been installed, but when i clicked on my file it has never worked, never unzipped it.  I must be doing something wrong, but i don't know what.

anyway... if anyone is willing to help, you're welcome, please mp me! :)

That said japanesebaby, any idea of a song?

a-ha, another machead.  :)
well i really don't know how to unzip that either, it seems like one of those windows-only extensions. there are several zip formats like that, really annoying sometimes. oh well.
i know one forum where all bigger files are uploaded after first being split with GSplit first and that means you can't access any of them with mac. pretty unnecessary as there would be similar  splitting spftware easily availabel that would work for both OS.

Back to my topic, here 's the subject:

With the concert in Roma last year, we could discover live version of the full 4:13 Dream album.
We can hear the full Pornography, Disintegration, and Bloodflowers on the Trilogy dvd.
And by compiling songs from various bootlegs, you can easily create your own live version of all albums.
You can hear all songs, all albums in full, live.

But there is one album of which i would like to hear the songs from, it's Mixed Up. (however strange it may seem to most!)

As far as i know, only lullaby performed in Caen, 07.07.1989 sounds live the lullaby extended version,
and close to me performed in NYC 31.10.1997 sounds like the closest mix.

Thus, I am looking for the singles performed live that, when was performed live, would not sound like the usual versions, but rather like the Mixed Up versions

lullaby 'extended' = Caen 07.07.1989
close to me 'closer mix' = NYC 31.10.1990

I only know these two, what about the rest of the album:

fascination street 'extended mix' = (with the alarm/siren at the begiining?)
the walk 'everything mix' = (sound like DM)
lovesong 'extended mix' = ?
a forest 'tree mix' = (sounding electronic?)
pictures of you 'extended dub mix' (= simon playing dub?)
hot hot hot 'extended' = (very long and funky)
the caterpillar 'flicker mix' = ?
in between days 'shiver mix' = (no guitar!)
never enough 'big mix' = ?

anybody else has an idea of the singles being played live "strangely", "differently" at a concert? Any precise date?
