just get all their albums and start listening. ;)
ok well, 'origin of symmetry' is still my favorite muse album but mostly because i like the live versions of the songs from that era, not necessarily the album versions.
'black holes and revelations' might be a good introduction too, and then going backwards from that. i'm just really not sure what to recommend as different people always prefer different albums/different songs. i like the 2001-2002 era most, mostly because of the live stuff like said.
i'd always recommend the live dvd 'hulabaloo', it's one of my all time favorite official live dvd releases:

I also favor origin of symmetry. The live dvd haarp might be a good place to start. That's a good example of their recent live show.

I think it's a really good chance to see two of the best bands in the world in the same day! :smth023

The Snow Patrol will support the italian gigs... :?

I agree and was considering going to one of those shows since there's no Seattle date.  I decided to wait for a Seattle date from each band.  Better to see a Muse headline gig, I think.  ;)

what a bloody mess today, trying to get tickets for the opneing night in helsinki!
i hate the ticket agencies sometimes: there were two agencies selling tickets for this show and turns out that one was selling only GA tickets and the other only seats. and of course, there was no information of any kind about this anywhere. people who tried to access only the "wrong" agency were told GA was sold out immediately the box-office opened today am 9 am. many of them were given some complete shit seats in some upper stalls too, just because the agency obviously released those shitty places first.  :smth011
i got a GA ticket simply by sheer luck, just because i happened to keep trying to call both agencies simultaneously (the websites for both agencies had collapsed immediately after 9 am). i just happened to get through with the "GA agency", just by luck. and they told me "we only see GA tickets here, no seats". so...
jesus what a mess. there will be a LOT of angry people out there, once they learn about how it all was handled...

Wow, that sounds like some poor planning.  Who do you think is to blame there, the concert promoter or venue?  Does the venue usually have two different agencies handling tickets?  That seems very strange to me.  :?  Too bad Muse wasn't doing any fanclub presales through the website like they did for the US shows last time around.

In any case, look on the bright side. You got a floor ticket.  :smth023  Glad to hear that news.

listening to the latest track unlocked for streaming (5/6).
they sound like... a queen covers band. i mean just really blatantly so.  :smth017
(i hope this doesn't mean the new album's going to sound the same...)

yeah but i wouldn't want to see muse turning into a queen covers band, really. they have a genuine style of their own so they wouldn't need to copy anyone that much.

Copy, no.  Borrow, pay tribute to, show their appreciation for?  Nothing wrong there.  Just listen to some of the riffs they play between songs.  It's quite obvious who they're influenced by and enjoy letting us know it.

Remember, that new Queen-sounding song is just a demo.

btw, weren't you telling me you didn't see any similarities between Muse and Queen some time ago?  ;)
