Hi, dsanchez. Tsk, tsk... breakfast is the most important meal of the day! Just kidding! I sound like such a mom! Before having kids, when I was working at a real job... ya know where I would actually get paid (ha, ha) - my breakfast was usually a cup of coffee and a cigarette on my way to catch the train. Yum, breakfast of champions!

Yep, it could indeed go that way, but we have a lot of younger fans online here, so I hope we get a good variety.
Last night I hit the (http://www.duvelusa.com/images/img_splash_beer.jpg), so a bl00dy strong expresso is just the ticket.

It's an 8.5% proof Belgian beer & v yummy (maybe a bit too yummy :?).
Still, I didn't go totally mad & hit the absinthe, so I think I will be okay in a while.
Now on my 3rd expresso
Umm, I'm drinking some Tetley British Blend..tea..stuff.
^_^ yum
Black tea again. just waking up.
As for alcoholic beverages, I don't drink beer. Bust red wine for me. but it's way too early for that.
:-D :-D
it's late here, so bourbon and coke open ready to go... wish I could stand beer as it is cheaper and much better for the warmer months, but i can't stand to taste it!! It's supposed to be good 4 ur hair tho' :P

[Bernard picks up a megaphone and proceeds to shout through it:]
Bernard: Right, the shop is closed, everybody get out.
Old Woman: What?
Bernard: Sorry, we're closed. Get out.
Old Woman: But it's only quarter to three!
Bernard: Yes, but it's my shop.
[Bernard picks up a broom and starts shooing people away with it]
Bernard: Come on, out out out.
Refined Customer: [Standing up to Bernard] You know, I expect better service -
Bernard: Well, expect away. Come on, you time-wasting bastards, back on the streets, out out out, back to life, back to reality, thank you.
[He kicks the door shut on them]

Ever seen that documenary about african animals getting drunk under a tree of fruits that ferment, and the monkey's, girraffs and all the animals get tanked and pass-out around the tree, really cute seeing the monkey's stumble and pass out
Yes time for Jack Daniels for me :smth023 Think iam a hippy at heart  without the green :? either that or monkey about to pass out, eventually. . .

Having a wee little drinky of whisky tonight, some "Imperial Suntory Whiskey" ~ bought it last minute thing at
Narita airport, last time in Japan, mistook the price for $10- but was 11000- Yen, which is about $110-,
thought was very cheap for such a nice bottle. Was in a rush.
Bought it anyway, while the plane waited for me, very embarrassing when the flight attendant is running around
the shops looking for me, In Australia the plane waits for noone, but once the bags are on~ i suppose it
takes less time to find the person, than unload the bags.

LOL! Too funny. Sorry to get off topic for a sec, but you just reminded me of my bachelorette party. My friends made me lick a shot of Baileys off of a plate at the bar. It was quite hilarious, although I really felt like an ass and took way longer than I cared for. Even the bartender got a kick out of it and was laughing at me (not with me). A patron at the bar even lent me his ponytail holder so I didn't have to lick my hair off the plate as well. Hehee!
Ya, know... it actually kinda burned my throat having to lick it up like a cat
p.s. Do you actually own a moccasin or a cowboy hat? LOL! I guess it could be a fun game... could be like a drunken scavenger hunt?? :-D

veering off topic a minute...but...it's easily done. to mis-read something. My son sent me a text message, on my mobile phone, telling me what they ( he and his mates) had done on the weekend... all the friends have "nick-names"..Now, one of his pals has the surname of "burns"..
ms from him said.." went to a mates of burns..etc etc..."
now, on my mobile phone, burns looked like bums..
so, I replied.. "who's bums?"
ms back; "WHAT??!"
me to him; "WHOS BUMS? which one of your friends do you call BUMS??!!"
ms back; "its BURNS ya dick...not bums!! put ya glasses on!! haha"

Rogue makes some excellent beers! :smth023
Some of my favorites (which all seem to begin with the letter "S"):
Sesquicentennial Ale http://www.rogue.com/beers/sesquicentennial-ale.php
Shakespeare Stout http://www.rogue.com/beers/shakespeare-stout.php
St. Rogue Red http://www.rogue.com/beers/st-rogue-red.php
Santa's Private Reserve http://www.rogue.com/beers/santas-private-reserve.php
And of course Dead Guy as well as Double Dead Guy Ales.
If you like Dead Guy and can find this one, give Stone Brewing's Arrogant Bastard Ale a try.
http://www.arrogantbastard.com/
This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or the sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you're mouthing your words as you read this.

i love all the names :smth023
Yeah the names are usually pretty cool but the beers are even cooler and better. Some of the Rogue - beers I tasted are among my favourites. You can also check Brew Dogs Punk IPA out. Just follow the link below.

AKA I NEED A DRINK!
Double Dead Guy. I just finished two bottles and I honestly thinking of sparing the next three for another evening. Hard Hitting Brew!
I will try a Pisco Sour in a bit. Pisco is Peru's national drink.

It's my birthday today, so after work, my boyfriend took me to a mexican restaurant (Enchilada's in Dallas) we have been going to for the last 11 years for some appetizers and margaritas (YUMMMM), had 2 frozen with noi salt, now we are settling in for the night and I have a scotch and soda next to the netbook while posting...:)

Pisco is made from grapes, specially from a city called Pisco, in the south of Lima. Check this video for an english explanation of the drink :smth023

"The word drink is primarily a verb, meaning to ingest liquids. In the United Kingdom, drink is used as a general term for an alcoholic beverage; "Are you going for a drink?" A beverage is a drink specifically prepared for human consumption, except water. Beverages almost always largely consist of water. Water is essential for living." ~ haha, i love wikipedia! :D
Me too. I'm drinking a so-called '75'(one part brandy, three parts Champagne).
One glass and the kick is awesome!
Green Tea with Jasmine
Hmm...not bad.
Slovak beer

Baileys coffee
Two large cups of Earl Grey (for my potassium level; boiled with mineral water) and a beer in the evening. 😰

Yeah... I have it with milk and honey (we keep bees and the honey is so nice). At least 1/3 milk, full cream, off the top of the bottle...we have unhomogenised milk, indeed it's civil disobedience milk - in Australia it's illegal to buy milk direct from a cow owner (unless you claim you have an orphaned animal) - Australia is all about protecting the monopolies, and I say the bureaucrats can go boil their heads...
I realise that the tea police will probably be after me because I don't drink green tea plain, but I drink what I like...
Also nice iced in summer with a bit of citrus juice and mint leaves (no milk this time ;) )...
Chateau Bois Pertuis 2017 🍷 The bottle has the number 157771.
Château Lamarzelle Cormey 2013 (with Saint Agur cheese) 🍷😋
I'm just drinking green tea, this time with lemon - and having crispy potato wedges to go with it before rounding up our new livestock again (four poddy calves just off milk) - there is severe weather coming and I'd prefer it if they stayed in the shelter shed with the two types of hay when the weather gets in, instead of going sight-seeing all over the paddocks. And, they're jumping over the temporary enclosure lines around the shed and its little sheltered paddock (which the horses and the donkeys don't cross) like grasshoppers in their bid to go merrily exploring. :1f62e:
I'm sure your fine beverage would be wasted on me,
@MeltingMan, though a succession of guests has tried to educate me, and the last few educational glasses of red weren't too bad (even if I can never walk in a straight line afterwards and get an irreversible attraction to my bed within half an hour). Those last few actually had a nice taste, sort of berries and cinnamon, without the leather-tanning solution type qualities of what was drunk in my parental home. :1f632:
However - cheese is
never wasted on me, and actually I think both cheese and wine often improve further upon marriage...like fondue, or Rarebit (which the Welsh usually make with beer but we usually make with wine, a bit of mustard and sliced onions - if you use red wine if gives you purple melted cheese bwahahahaha! :yum:).
I hope everyone is enjoying their diverse hot, cold and anything in-between weekend beverages and accompaniments! :cool
