IT NOW DOESNT LOOK LIKE THE ALBUM WILL COME OUT UNTIL AFTER THE USA TOUR...
YAY!

SERIOUSLY
THIS IS A GOOD THING!
AS ANY NEW SONGS WE PLAY WILL BE EXTRA UNKNOWN...
THERE WILL PROBABLY BE SOME KIND OF A SINGLE RELEASE IN EARLY SEPTEMBER...
AND PROBABLY SOME PROMO STUFF AROUND THE ALBUM RELEASE

I THINK THE ALBUM WILL BE A 'LIMITED EDITION' DOUBLE...
WE WILL SEE!

SO
LATE OCTOBER/NOVEMBER NEEDS TO BE FREE FOR ALBUM RELATED SURPRISE STUFF...

WHICH MEANS SOUTH AMERICA HAS BEEN JOSTLED TO THE BACK OF THE QUEUE BEHIND EUROPE...

OH NO!

BUT WE WILL GET THERE...
RSX
PS
THERE WILL BE USA DATES PRESALE INFO/PASWORDS UP HERE IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS...

(Thanks Tom)

Fatter than Bob, balder than Porl, as sober as Simon, as amusing as Jason

From the sounds of it, I'd guess maybe April '08?

So Bob means April -> Southamerica, May -> Europe?

Can be this?

i hope he goes back on that message not long ago about one uk date, it wouldnt be hard for them to do 5 (london, manchester, birmingham, glasgow, cardiff)

strange_day

Yeah indeed. Come to Manchester! please!

On the other hand i can see why they dont exactly want to play in the UK, its not really the greatest of places for bands to play. Especially a band like The Cure whom the UK have pretty much dismissed as 'that miserable goth bloke, who sings about cats'.... thats the unfortunate reality.

(Also @ dsanchez, is that a line from a certain Slowdive song i see?  8) very cool, reminds me quite a bit of Bloodflowers actually  :smth020.....)

Yes!, it's a line from one of the greatest british bands of all times, Slowdive! (my favourites after The Cure and Pink Floyd). It belongs to the song Catch the breeze.  :smth023

"Lusting Here in Your Mind" ("It sounds suspiciously like heavy rock to me," Smith says)
"Christmas Without You"
"Please Come Home"

sounds like they are now collaborating with mötley crüe, george michael (eh?) and... phil spector...?   :?

Ay, in the very temple of Delight

Bloodflower

Yes, and The Perfect Boy sounds like it could be a reworked A Boy I Never Knew also from The Cure sessions.
Another Curefan for The Dark Christmas album.
