Does anyone have an idea about how much The Cure ask for one gig?

Cheers,

Does anyone know what the going rate is for the Cure to play?  In other words, do they charge $100,000 to play a show?  If so, let's take a collection.  Every member donates $105.71, and we find a place that is central for ALL curefans members worldwide to get to.  Can you imagine....seeing them play to 946 people?! :o :smth030

Difficult to say what they charge.  I heard The Pixies were charging around $250,000 for festivals on their reunion tour.  My guess is The Cure would demand close to that.

Alright, even at $250K, everyone could pitch in $264.27!

Problem is that Cure are represented worlwide by big agencies which are the ones who in the end charge a LOT of money. But even considering The Cure would ask for 100 000 US$ you would have to add to this the transport in 1st class, cathering and logement (5 stars hotels) expenses for the band and the crew, not to mention that the agency will ask what kind of experience you have doing events, which artists have you worked for, what do you offer, etc.

So.... unless we have Bill gates fortune (who payed about half million dollar for Sting to play him and his friends in his birdthay) it's hard to make such an event...

no way do the cure get $250,000. they arent bigger than the rolling stones and the pixies price will be inflated because its a come back tour. i still think aroundd $70,000

Actually Rolling Stones or such bands (U2, etc.) would be around 1 million (at least, that's what I readed about their southamerican tour). And farquad92 is right about Pixies price, it was inflated because it was a reunion gig.

It's possible The Cure would ask for a quarter million in Latinamerica, considering their concerts will be here totally sold out. In Europe, where they play usually, it could be that they ask for US$70 000, but definitely wouldn't be the same price in America (North, Central and Southamerica).

Cheers

David.

nope,
U2 spent for all their Vertigo Tour something like 1 Million â,¬ a night (lights ecc) but that's not their asking :smth001 . Actually they didn't fail with the Tour just for the high prices of the tickets (not too popular) and for the fact the tour was SOLD-OUT in every show.

however, the show was very good and the money very-well-spent! (according to me...)
