Sad news just in: Gary Biddles has passed away. :(

I think Biddles was a good guy.

Judging from the interview linked above in 1st post, I'd say he had the "usual" roadie job: carrying amps & stuff into the club (where the gig was about to happen), get things ready for soundcheck; then after the gig unplug everything and carry it back into the van.
This is a general description of what a roadie does (found on the net):
"An individual who is responsible for setting up, tearing down, and generally maintaining the equipment for a band."
