Rest in peace. Can't believe this has happened so fast since he revealed.
Very sad news, he really seemed a very positive person.

I came upon this quote today...

While I never met Andy he seemed like a beautiful soul. May he be flying through the ethers, free!

Andy Anderson was A true gentleman and a great musician with a wicked sense of humor which he kept until the end, a testament to his beautiful spirit on the last journey. We are blessed to have known him.

So Cindy and I just heard from some friends who were there with Andy as he passed at 5:57 pm UK time today. It is a small measure of solace to learn that he went peacefully at his home.

RIP. One of the two great Cure drummers. Masterpieces like Give Me It and The Wailing Wall would never be possible without his virtuoso technique and superb musicianship. Some members of the band have been part of it for years upon years without producing anything as memorable as his work on The Top. And of course Blue Sunshine, a fun and often superb sideshow curiosity.
