That's near the board, isn't it? Can't complain about that.
Seems all three mezzanine levels are sold out. Scattered singles are showing up in orchestra (rows P, W). Get 'em before they're gone.

Yeah that is a damn good seat soundwise : )
I was nearly that same spot for interpol in 05 there, very very nice.
Are you making it out to this gig crowbi?

Are you making it out to this gig crowbi?
Nope. A friend is getting married that weekend, so I can't make the MSG show either  Of course I found this out after I bought my MSG ticket.
Chicago isn't looking too good either, which really blows since due to my sweet ticket. I'll try my best to make that one.
I'm good for Red Rocks through San Diego, though. That's not changing. If they add another SoCal or Vegas show (or TV appearance) between LA and SD I'll hit that up as well.
im sure there is something to be added in that cali run, maybe a bay area date?
Adding a SF show could happen. I'd probably hit it up if they did.
I don't see why he wouldn't add one.
I'll be there too if it happens.
I'm waiting to book my west coast flights 'til the dates are finalized.
Wish they would announce the rest of the TBA dates!!!

Brian:
If my wife isn't going, I'll need a single. I'll buy it off you if that is the case.
Just had a look at the seating chart. Seems I'm immediately to the right of the board. Sweet!
Looks like it's close to completely sold out!
No pairs available.
Single floor seats are gone.
Best singles are in 2nd mezzanine.
Will probably be nothing by monday.
Hope a second date is added!!
It looks like tickets are being released bit by bit. Others have landed tickets over the past week and I and a friend both got tickets today for the gig on ticketmaster. So keep checking back everyday and you might get something. One thing you will NOT find is 2 tickets together at this point.
My ticket is 3rd Mezzanine - not that great, but my friend landed an Orchestra ticket in the subsequent search. Still, I think any seat at this venue will be rather fabulous.
I'm coming to this show too. I actually didn't buy tickets for MSG because I hate that place, it's just too big. Like watching some band in a stadium or something, you don't get that "feel" for the songs when you're so far away. Lucky me they decided to put the Radio City show after the MSG one sold out. Radio City is a gorgeous venue and better suited for concerts. Much more comfortable and appropriate for an atmospheric band like The Cure.
Contrary to previous reports, this show is not sold out. Tickets are available on TM. In fact, I just pulled a seat in ORCH 5, row C  That's 29 rows back, 1 section left of center. Somebody go get that seat! Looks like some pairs are available in the second mezzanine.
Live setlist for this show will be provided here:

The curfew was actually 12 midnight. According to 65dos's sound engineer, Local 1 (the union in NYC) charges the band a $60K fine if they exceed the curfew at all...even if they are one minute past midnight (but, with how weak the US dollar is right now, isn't that something like 3 pounds sterling?). I was hoping to get Faith after A Forest, but will settle for Forever. Even the sound guys thought Faith was coming.

Sullen, that's a great shot! I was front row at Sasquatch, but my photos aren't as good. What kind of camera do you use?
Do you have any shots of Robert's guitars? My dad is super interested in what some of the new stickers say.
I am so jealous of those of you who got to go. A couple weeks ago, me and my dad almost ebayed some tickets for MSG and RCMH and looked into flights, but it was ultimately too expensive (if we had decided a week earlier, we could've got flights for free through reward points, and totally would've gone!). Now, part of me can't help but wish that I just would've put it all on my credit card. I'd be in debt, sure, but... man, those were great concerts. Especially last night.

So the question is........When will they play again??
The Tour is over :(
I hope very soon we have info of new dates and maybe another tour for support the album.
Great US Tour, very good memories.
I think we can have faith to the near future.
Good things are coming soon for Cure fans around the world.
I´m trusting in that
:D
My wife and I went last night and were blown away, she's now a full out diehard Curehead. We bought 4 shirts, two girlie shirts and 2 men's shirts, oh and a tour book too. I always empty out the wallet at Cure shows. I couldn't believe they played Forever. That's such a rare song in North American shows. Radio City is such an excellent and appropriately sized venue for a band like The Cure. Even better, they played a couple of songs from Pornography. But we didn't get to hear, Cold, Figurehead or Pornography which are our favorite songs. No matter, Robert went up the balcony again like in 1996 at Radio City during the Swing Tour. He even said "I can't f*cking believe I went back up here again." Haha, too much. If I had to change around a few songs I would've put Plainsong as the intro (with that excellent guitar sound from Porl instead of synth), Shake Dog Shake, Cold, Figurehead and Pornography to end the show. "I must fight this sickness."
Lastly, its possible that we may see another tour after the album is released in September. They seem to enjoy touring and making loads of money.
Is there any chance of these guys releasing on their website like copies of their shows on mp3 or cd format? It would be great to just pick your show and listen to it in your car. Or even other shows that had a setlist you may prefer but could not attend.
forever
i didn't see this one coming, i have to say.

Thanks! Yeah, it's easier to see the stickers when he's playing, usually. He added new stickers since we saw them (and took pictures). We took hundreds of pictures, so I know what it's like to go through them all. I'll definitely look at your album when it gets up and running. If you're interested at all in my Sasquatch or BC album, I'll post the links.
I have a Canon PowerShot A530. Your camera rocks the pants off of mine. We got some fantastic pictures, but my dad still says that we're going to buy better cameras before we see The Cure again, haha. (We like to spend money on "important" things like this like we have it or something.)

My dad became a diehard after the BC show. What girlie shirts did you buy? I have the bright pink one of the band sitting, and the black and white striped v-neck (which my little sister also got). I also got the belt buckle, which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. We split up the badge set, and we got a tour book. I think we spent around $220. Yikes. But fantastic.
I wish I could've gone to the RCMH show. Probably the best show of the tour. But at least I got probably the best show of the Curiosa tour (Everett)!
After waiting all those weeks.....
I've been to the final european FAITH @ Rotterdam, wondering if they would ever play it again on the American-tour..... They did, twice (correct me if i'm wrong?)
But they played FOREVER...........
Only heard that song once in many many many years............ (1996 in Rotterdam, aswell.....)
Restepct for everybody that's been there....
BTW: has anybody got a decent recording of this gig?? Love to hear forever....
EDIT: Been searching on g00gle for at least 4 hours now..... Still haven't found a FOREVER recording from 2008 by now..... plz, don't tell me nobody has made a recording of this show?!?!?!?1
@Sullen: You are correct about Forever. Great, emotional ending.
Very emotional night for me in general. On a personal note, my daughter Elise was obviously named after A Letter To Elise. Long story short, she died at birth and they brought her back several times (she is fine now :D!!!!). Even though I have heard them play that song many times, for some reason last night I had flashbacks to the night of her birth and the images I saw while they were resuscitating her. Glad everyone around me was too busy watching the band and not me wipe the tears from my eyes....
Now that I have brought everyone reading this down, keep an eye on the audio section for a Curefans exclusive of Forever within the next 24 hours!

From a reliable source....there is a rumor going around that they will be playing early next year, possibly in conjunction with the 30th anniversary. Nothing is set in stone, and as my friend (who has a relationship with the band) said: "Robert needs to go home and finish the album. It's been 2 f*cking years now!"
I had so much fun on the tour that I almost don't care if the album's finished...just play more shows, guys!
But they need a break. And a new album *would* be nice. I'm so in love with all of the new songs.
The RCMH was better as the Paris gig. Almost no pop songs and all rare played songs. He cried at the end of Forever!!!
insane
Would be rather special to see them do a 30th Anniversary tour type thing, or even a standard tour to support the new album. This recently concluded 4Tour has been the fuel that has kept the fire alive for me.
I am a bit concerned/intrigued how committed Simon may still be to the whole touring concept. He continually kept checking out his family photos taped to his amp, looking longingly at them during sets, throughout the tour. Then adding the "HOME" adornment on his arm at the end of the tour. Will he opt out of any upcoming tours to devote himself to family life? To anyone who hung around with them backstage, or met them outside of the concert setting, how was the band's internal dynamic? Did this lineup feel like it had staying power to last for awhile, or was it all cordial and polite on the face of it, but brooding offstage?
To me, the band seemed to be in sych onstage quite well, with Robert, Porl and Simon better able to read one another during the course of different songs. Everyone outwardly seemed to be really enjoying themselves during these tour performances as opposed to other Cure tours I've seen in the past. I hope this current Cure lineup clicks and stays together as long as they want to. With Porl walking offstage on the opposite side of everyone else, even before certain songs were finished, and with Simon pining away over his family pictures, obviously homesick, how many more tours does this lineup have in them? This is by far the finest Cure lineup I've seen in over 15 years, possibly even longer. Club America will continue to salute them if they do decide to visit these fair shores again, I am confident of that much at least :smth023.
Opinions? Theories?
They seemed a bit out of synch between Freakshow and Close to Me, when RS was up by the balcony. There was silence, and you could tell RS was waiting for the band to start, and I think they were waiting for him to come back to the stage. After a couple seconds of silence, Robert said sarcastically "Hello?" and Close to Me started. I got a laugh out of that one.
But overall, they do seem to be having a great time together. Simon is always stern faced on stage, although I think he always has been

I feel ya. I had somewhere around that much between my two Cure shows, and then I had to go to school the next day, study for a test, etc... I was running on pure adrenaline. Which was amplified by the fact that I found out the day after the second concert that I got the research position I wanted. Which I start today... I think? Way back then, he said that we'd start today, but then he never told us when to be there or where. So, I'm just gonna show up, and bring my computer in case no one's there, heh.

I almost went to this show & now I'm regretting that I didn't.
Just added a couple of pics to the concert gallery... more to come later
Please, anyone has the lyrics for Forever @ RCMH ? :smth100
Thanxs in advance.
;)
I didn't notice this until last night.
Two shots with a tear dripping from his eye.
This was halfway through POY @ RCMH
Just blows me away that a man can get this much into his music on stage.
Veiw these full size for greater detail of it:
