David.
"Out of This World" is one of the best The Cure's ever released. The lyrics really remind me of a relationship I had with a girl who, you guessed it, I lost. Very pretty song.
There Is No If... is simply stunning. I love the rhythym that Robert plays and the perfect little distorted guitar throughout the 2nd part of the song, not to mention Robert's typically heartbreaking lyrics.

Hell Yeah!!! There Is No If...Robert's voice are so terrific!
Last day of summer, the most dark song of the album for me!
39 the guitar is just awesome on that song!:rocker
"This dream never ends...."
Such a fantastic song. I wish the opening drum beat (with the bass drum just thumping) was mixed louder throughout the song, and I think that live (such as in the Trilogy shows), the keys were much too loud. But the lyrics are really great, I think.
But really, I love every single song on Bloodflowers. It's an incredible album. So great is it that I consider the worst song on it to be Where the Birds Always Sing. Which is also great.
The point is, this poll needs to be reopened so I can vote for BLOODFLOWERS!
tough to choose one above another.. but my top choice is .. There is no If..
I love the lyrics and Robert's voice..
then closely followed by 39, then Out of this world..
Amazing album, full of passion! :smth049
I choosed "BLOODFLOWERS", for the lyrics and because Robert sings in a very passional way...this song takes me away....
But I was very close to vote "The Last Day Of Summer" and "There Is No If"! :smth020
These polls are always very difficult for me, ahahah!!! :smth017 :-D
"The Loudest Sound" beautiful melancholic song. Robert's guitar solo is great too.
"The Last Day of Summer" ... because it sits where the album is really sinking in and hitting its stride, so to speak.
The same way "Last Dance" sort of fits on Disintegration.
"The last day of summer" pure poetry!!! He wrote this song because he was reaching his autumn...
spring (0-20), summer (20-40), autumn (40-60), winter (60-?)
I've voted for Bloodflowers, because of the pro and contra in the lyrics.
And the way Robert sings the words. I love the whole album :)
a tough case since i consider 'bloodflowers' more like one single album-long "mood piece" than a collection of individual songs.
i'll vote for 'maybe someday' even if it's not the best song there - but it's the one that for me is full of special meaning and memories. i always really liked many of the remixes of this song too.
(by the way, should 'coming up' be included? maybe not... anyway, i usually listen to the australian version because i really love that song, even though it sort of sticks out of the rest of the album.)
I voted for The Last Day Of Summer because i'm listening to it right now and it makes me feel sad but sad is happy for deep people.
TBH Bloodflowers edges it on this list, but the Trilogy version totally eclipses the album version.
I'm actually with Marika on this though. Coming Up is really very good.
So, you lucky Japanese & Ozzy folks got a good album with an additional brilliant track. :-D
MAYBE SOMEDAY
I voted for Out Of This World
Definitivly "Out of this world" is the best song of Bloodflowers…
It's the Only one that will survive through the time.
And it's one of the Best song Robert ever composed.
I'm changing mine.
Where he Birds Always Sing is my new choice. The lyrics are so meaningful and to the point.
We all want a perfect world. which would never exist.
I voted for the Last Day of Summer... Simply.

you might very well be totally right about that. it has qualities which i believe will make it stand the test better than most of the songs out there.
i voted for 'maybe someday' because of pretty "selfish"/personal reasons. maybe it was a wrong way to vote, as the question was not "which song is the most important to YOU?" but which one's the best song...
as a composition, 'out of this world' IS a lot better one, anytime.
The Loudest Sound - superb synths, great production and atmosphere created, excellent lyrics, one of their best songs in the last 15 years at least. Close are There Is No If (ruined by many crap liveversions though) and Bloodflowers itself.

Hurts sooooo much!! :smth088
The last day of summer...All that I have
All that I hold
All that is wrong
All that I feel for or trust in or love
All that is gone
I actually don't listen to this album that much but I've always loved "39" and "Watching Me Fall".
I have to admit I'm not wild about this album, and none of the songs are on my list of favorites... But if I had to choose I would go with Last Day of Summer -- it's the one which is closest to the side of The Cure's sound that I personally prefer.
Well this one should have been their last album ever...
It was like the old good days.
A truly unique Cure album at all.
Except music of 'Maybe Someday' which makes me feel bored (sometimes)
even if i do like the lyrics.
'this dream never ends...'
p.s. : like in the other two of the TRiLOGY set,i just can't vote one song
from here.
So if it has to be one & only ,then :
~Out Of This World~
Which i wish that they will play it even for once in this Tour as an opening track.
Well, some years ago I would say "Last day of summer" but I think I go for "Bloodflowers". Robert just killed me when he said in the Hamburg 2002 show: "This is the last song..."
And then they started to play Bloodflowers. It was such an emotional moment, knowing that one of the happiest moments of my life was coming to end
"This dream never ends...". Such a beautiful line.
Sometimes it's "Out Of This World", sometimes "The Last Day Of Summer", sometimes like now "Bloodflowers". This is what I voted.
Doesn't matter which songs is better. This is an unbelievable album! And it gets better and better as the time goes by...
I vote for "The Last day of Summer". Truly a beautiful song, its only problem being that it sounds just like a "Disintegration" outtake. It would seem that by 2000 The Cure surely would have been able to "refresh" their sound...
"The Last Day Of Summer"
The best intro to a Cure song "EVER"! :smth035
I think about The Last Day Of Summer and The Loudest Sound. Both songs are my fav, but I voted for The Last Day Of Summer ;)
I agree with CharJamOI this song has great intro :D
I've resisted voting for so long simply because I couldn't bring myself to decide...Such a great album and one I'm feeling really drawn to lately...
Lately though I have to say it's Watching Me Fall for me - a brilliant, powerful, epic song, so very closely followed by Bloodflowers...
i absolutely love The Loudest Sound
the music is amazing and it helped me go through some pretty tough moments. it calms me down and keeps me from screaming and throwing things. ( ) the solo is great. bloodflowers was my first cure album so I naturally have a close 'relationship' with all the songs!!! :D
i voted bloodflowers although watching me fall and maybe someday are very close to it. but this is an excelent album with excelent musics
Well, this whole album just reminds me of different mood pieces of Untitled, especially out of this world...
It's such a hard album to narrow down to just one song so my top three would be
Watching Me Fall for the sincere screeching of the vocals and lyrics along with kicking drums, acoustic and bass and Cocteau Twins influenced lead guitar for a long 11 minute journey...just entranced.
Then it would have to be Out of this World as it is just Untitled with lyrics and then probably There Is No If for such a chill song with whimsical guitar and piano lines
just fantastic album
"Watching Me Fall." Probably has the best lyrics that Robert's ever written
01 Out Of This World (maybe the best lyrics, smooth and brilliant music, strange, but great opener)
02 Watching Me Fall (tough, wild, long, whole story, and "why don't you follow me inside yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeahhh!")
03 Last Day Of Summer (a calm song, full of sorrow and emptiness. Beautiful)
01 Bloodflowers
02 Where The Birds Always Sing
03 The Last Day Of Summer
Obviously Bloodflowers , my fav...Lyrics and guitars...
Can't believe anyone would choose anything but "Out of This World." best song they've done in 20 years. Magical. Breathtaking.
