"Hey You!!!"
Gotta get ready for the honeymoon.;)
PLAINSONG
This Is A Lie. ;)
Seriously, though, I don't think there's been a family wedding in recent history where at least Just Like Heaven hasn't been played.

i'm afraid...
Why would that be ? ;)
well i just really doubt it'll happen...
but 'how beautiful you are' would be good:
and this is why i hate you
and how i understand
that no-one ever knows or loves another...
Not the cure, but my wife and I had the Sundays version of Wild Horses playing as we left after the "I do's". And, she walked down the aisle to the opening of Trust (just the keyboard part)
More "not the Cure", but at a friend's somewhat-recent wedding, we (the wedding party) walked out to the opening of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". We were impressed that he managed to sneak that by his fiancee (they did compromise on the music a lot, as they have pretty different tastes). There was a good deal of Cure (JLH, either Hot Hot Hot or WCIBY, and something else) + NO played later on, however...
WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT I'D REQUEST PLAINSONG FOR MY FUNERAL ALSO...
For a wedding? Jeez... um... Lovesong, I suppose.
For a funeral is probably a better question....

"the Kiss"...hahaha JK!!!
"Lovesong" sounds about right for the next time 'round as we had "Amazed" by Lonestar this last time..believe me, NOT my choice.

Comfirm, the drowning man! :-D
i was also thinking of Plainsong, (it was beautifully used as soundtrack for wedding scene in Marie Antoinette), but since Janko took it first, I'd just stick to my funky Why Can't I Be You during the wedding party, and afterparty sountrack would be Let's Go To Bed :-D

Sorry to hear that.
it's all good. u live, u learn.
"GIVE ME IT" :)
All the wedding guests will turn and their jaws will drop when that starts blaring on the speakers...the lyrics are so anti-love that it'll throw everyone in a rut!
No, but seriously..."The Catterpillar", "10:15", "In Between Days", "Happy The Man", and then as a last track, "Subway Song" so the scream at the end will give everyone a jump start!
my girl loves M and Maybe Someday so they'll be played plus I have some surprises for her....
funeral will be Open..

Haha, yes.
If i were to ever get married (doubtful anyones blind enough!) it'd be Push
Not because its my favourite, just because of the lyrics
"Go go go, push him away" etc
It even caters for wedding bust-ups
"oh, smear this man across the walls
like strawberries and cream
it's the only way to be"
Either that, or Babble....... also because of the lyrics.
:-D
Sussex, I love your quote from Robert. It brings a much needed smile to my hideous face. That's what I love about Robert, he has this sense of humor that's so unique to him.
Sorry for shifting gears there.
I have thought about it for a while, and I'd actually really like to play "Shake Dog Shake" at a wedding...I don't know what it is, but it's got this really agressive feel to it, not to mention the line about "sex like an animal of god"...
"Object" might not be the best choice, though. What with all the femenism and woman's rights activity nowadays...lol. But it's a catchy song nonetheless...regaurdless of what Robert thinks of it.
i think i'll play shiver and shake and this is a lie........

That's
Spurning sex like an animal of god. Which is probably something you don't need for your honeymoon... the other spurning sex.

'halo'
&
'lovesong'
Not a Cure track so apologies for being OT, but a rather good mate of mine had "You're the one for me, Fatty' as the bridal waltz. We all thought his new (rather large) mother-in-law would have have a fit on the spot.
If I had a "proper" wedding I may have had Trust,JLH, or Catch or Lovesong. However, I did not...plus for some reason I have a real hard time listening to Cure songs with my husband around.(maybe that should be another topic )
However, our song is Hit song by peter murphy so I am sure we would have had that.

I love THAT song so much
I really don't know.
I've done the married thing, once. So has my OZ BF.
Probably, Trust
Hmm. Many could fall in this category. High, Plainsong, Bananafishbones (not, though it's funky for an afterparty.)
But overall, I'd have to say Last Dance.
LAST DANCE and JUST LIKE HEAVEN for sure. :rocker
~ If i have to choose one~ Just like heaven :D
Mint Car would be in my top 2 for it and Last Dance as well.
For the people who wanted Just Like Heaven, at their wedding. Some of you, may have already seen this.

That would be the perfect wedding. The only bad is that we might forget the bride/groom for some time because of Bob's presence

Have a goth wedding and wear black.
Not implying that you are goth. But, it was a suggestion if you ever get married. Or a Victorian style wedding. You could stil wear balck.
I don't like white wedding gown either..
I don't like white either I wear mostly black.
I would love a black wedding gown or a red one.

Wow, a black wedding dress that sounds very interesting. It's not day-to-day and for a goth a must have :)

Hmm, most likely Doing The Unstuck.
Edit: I change that to Strange Attraction.
Mint car…

My advice... don't get married until:
1. you have lived with a partner for over 10 years
2. you truly know that after these 10 years you REALLY do want to spend the rest of your life with your partner.
3. you truly believe that the vows are eternal, not just pressure from society to do what is considered "right"
Quote from: doncuevas on October 20, 2007, 06:30:34

If it ever happens to me again... kill me first, then you can play 'The Funeral Party".. and don't forget to invite Robert!!! :smth023 just so he can dance around my grave like in that parody.... haha ;)
At my wedding I had a few tunes from a playlist I made on my iPod, which included:
-Friday I'm In Love
-Mint Car
-This Twilight Garden
-Doing The Unstuck
-High
-Close To Me
-The Lovecats
-Inbetween Days
It was almost like having Robert there!! :D

haha would definitely be my second choice, right after 'this is a lie'.
why not 'meathook' too, in case more incidental music was needed in addition to intro/outro... or 'shiver and shake'!
I hate to be crude, but I am just doing it because I have a crude sense of humor...
The 13th would definitely be played over and over again at my wedding...
as she slides towards me smooth as a snake
i can't swallow i just start to shake
and i just know this is a big mistake
yeah but it feels good!
do it to me! do it to me! do it to me! do it to me!
do it to me! do it to me! do it to me!
exactly "The Only One"...
Pictures of you I guess...
I did get married and we picked up "One more time". :smth049
You see I'm blessed to have a Cure fan wife. Imagine our house
For my funeral I will choose "The Holy Hour"
