I seem to be the only person here who's going to any of the LA shows :(
It's official: only person on here planning to go!

I'm pretty sure sullen (http://curefans.com/profile/?u=364) and crowbi_wan (http://curefans.com/profile/?u=287)are going, however, I didn't see them around here in a long time.
I'm again making the trek from Montana for the Cure. This time with my family in tow. I'm nervous about being able to get tickets. Do you think they'll sell out in the first minute?

I think tickets for this concert will be easier to get than the London ones, but I suggest you to be right on time once the tickets go on sale.
When you say be on time... does that mean I should book them online or by calling when they go on sale? Thanks.
You should book the tickets on line when they go on sale (date and time are in the first post of this topic). As the tickets will be sell through ticketmaster.com, I suggest you to create an account there and log in in before you start the buy process. I think the tickets won't be sold out as fast as the London gig (the London show was the only scheduled in Europe and they will play six times in the US). But anyway, just to be extra sure, go and book the tickets from the first second they go on sale.

Thanks for the advice. WIll there be a Curefans before party????
It's been a while since i've posted, but i will also be going to one of these shows, just not sure which one. tickets will undoubedtly sell out even before they go on sale, but if needed, i will go through stubhub to buy them. i still can't believe how inexpensive they are, but it's even harder to believe this is happening, and within 30 minutes from home...
I plan to go to one of these shows, not sure which one yet - dependent on ticket availability.
And I thank dsanchez for the PM announcing these shows, since I had not previously heard about them.

And here I was, getting my hopes up that I'd be the only person in the venue
It appears the ticket sales are directly through the Pantages' website? I don't see any mention on Ticketmaster about this upcoming on sale. Or maybe a link will appear on Pantages' site when the sale starts? Less than a week away and I'm unclear on how this sale is happening. The Pantages info line doesn't even mention The Cure shows nor provides contact to a human.....

I'm having the same anxiety as you. Wish I knew what was up...
Tickemaster.com just published the info regarding The Cure shows in New York so I am sure they're going to do the same for Los Angeles very soon. I will update the first post of this topic when they do it!

Less than 24 hours left, and the tickets still are not listed...
on http://www.broadwayla.org/production/show.info.asp?ID=69 (http://www.broadwayla.org/production/show.info.asp?ID=69) it says they are on sale today at 1000. Best of luck to peeps trying to go to the show!
Good Luck everyone to get a ticket.
Freak out!
I am so excited for this show. I'm traveling but scoping town for some speedy internet for tomorrow morning's dash for tickets.
I can't wait to see and hear what they do with this set list/lineup. Will there be some new arrangements? Effects? Visuals????

Yeah, good luck to everyone....
Still nothing on TM. Either it's going to magically appear at the last second or it's not happening this morning.

<insert standard Ticketmaster rant>
Took me 6 minutes to get through and I'm a pretty fast cable modem. All tickets gone. I hate to go to scalpers, but I guess I have no choice now.
I got two Orchestra tickets!!!!!!! The first time I tried I was denied. Then I submitted a second time and got them!

absolutely amazing show, and probably the best venue i have ever seen The Cure play. every song sounded spectacular, but it was Three Imaginary Boys, Secrets, Other Voices, The Drowning Man, Faith, I'm Cold, Charlotte Sometimes and The Hanging Garden that truly made my evening. Robert did mention that he would see us again, and soon...

Hey everyone, new member here, long time Cure fan. I was at the LA Pantages show wednesday and found this site while looking for a Reflections poster online (I stupidly didnt buy one for $20 at the show and now they're going for $60+ on Ebay. If anyone has one for sale/trade, please let me know).
Anyway, I recorded the show on my little stereo Zoom H1 recorder and happy to share with anyone here. Quality is decent for the back row, but if anyone wants to hear, I will be uploading to Dropbox tonight after I clean it up a bit. Just reply with your email address (or send it privately if you dont want to post it), and I'll send you an Dropbox invite so you can download. Will upload as full quality 44.1/16bit .wav as well as .mp3.
Oh, and if I wasent clear, I would gladly take a poster :) Even a copy of someones...

Welcome to Curefans.com! and thank you very much for sharing your recording! I will send you a PM. Hope you will have luck finding a poster. Found a way to share without having to install Dropbox/send out invites...
Recorded with a stereo Zoom H1 recorder, 44.1kHz/16bit, sitting back row mezzanine. Surprisingly good quality....

Apologies for the lady beside me that kept talking to her friend and screaming "I love you Robert!". So annoying.
Unfortunately I missed 3 songs at the end of the first set when I got busted recording, fortunately they weren't my faves (Its Not You, Three Imaginary Boys, The Weedy Burton), and luckily they didn't take my recorder away.
Hope you enjoy, please let me know what you think!
JL
PS, interesting note...I just found this on wikipedia, they changed the title of "Killing An Arab" to "Killing Another", for the show credits, but not the lyrics for the song. I was curious if they would play that song at all.
