Title: finnish exports: santa claus
Post by: japanesebaby on August 27, 2007, 18:35:11
talking about lapland in the sports thread reminded me of this:

if people should know one fact about northern finland then it's the fact that santa claus a.k.a. father christmas a.k.a. joulupukki (as we call him) lives in northern finland, in the fell called 'korvatunturi'. this is known fact. yet itsä frustrating to notice that there's always so much fake information going around concerning his true origins. like, some say santa claus lives in the north pole, some really bad sources even insist he lives in sweden - HA! hey now way....
anyway: the fact is that santa claus truly lives in finland.
if you still don't believe me, watch this:
