T.I.B., 17 SECONDS, FAITH, PORNOGRAPHY, J.W., THE TOP, H.O.T.D.  -  ONE YEAR INBETWEEN ALBUMS!!!

VS.

WISH, W.M.S., BLOODFLOWERS, CURE, TBA ALBUM - FOUR YEARS INBETWEEN ALBUMS!!!

Fatter than Bob, balder than Porl, as sober as Simon, as amusing as Jason

you forget two years period: THEOTD - KMKMKM - disintgration.

which means they are only being mathematically precise: 1, 2, 4... the next one's always twice the one before. meaning that the next time it'll be "see you in 8 years".
but hey i don't mind because there's beauty in the nature of mathematics, numbers...
can't wait until they get to 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 years inbetween...
i bet there'll be one hell of a sense of anticipation and some pretty intense expectations up in the air by that time! the forums will be on fire...!

NO, YOU DIDNT GET MY POINT...

I WAS IMPLYING THAT IT WAS BETTER FOR THE BAND WHEN THEY HAD AN ALBUM PER YEAR!

AND AS THE YEARS PASS, WE CAN EXPECT ONLY THREE OR FOUR ALBUMS FROM THE CURE, IF WE'RE BEING OPTIMISTIC  :-D

MY POINT IS: THE CURE SHOULD MAKE AND RELEASE NEW ALBUMS MUCH FASTER!!!

NOW WE HAVE AN ALBUM EVERY FOUR YEARS, THE BAND MAKES INSANELY TOO MANY SONGS FOR ALBUM, THE FANS EXPECTATIONS ARE TOTALLY UNREALISTIC AND FAR TOO HIGH...

12 SONGS PER ALBUM
THREE SINGLES
THREE B-SIDES
REMIXES
AND
TWO YEARS BETWEEN ALBUMS MAKE PERFECT SENSE!

sounds good to me :smth023  now if only we could encourage Robert to work faster
its nice to be nice

ooohh.. we obviously need something other than the formula of mathematics to predict the release of  albums..
seriously.... if this is the last 'blast'... I'll be happy with an almost 30 year span of  music from my favourite band.. not many in that category!

hey... i just turned a huge 40... 'faster' you say?.. I'd be thinking of retiring just about now, if i was Robert.. i'd be wanting to live life outside of this pressure..
but then I am not Robert..  :smth020

But how does one explain the 3 years between Disintegration and Wish?  ;)

oh that's true, we definitely need to get rid of number 3 there in between...
easy: i suppose we can just skip the year 1991 altogether, let's just make believe it didn't exist at all, or something. (1991 is the best choice for deletion since that way we don't even have to sacrifice that many cure shows, only T&C and webley will get permanently deleted. and some silly unplugged show. anyway.)
you see, keeping the figures nice looking and perfectly balanced is what's most important here - nevermind the facts behind them (just ask the scientologists, i've heard they're pretty good in this kind of things).

(the other explanation is simply that i might be demented/seriously mathematically handicapped here. but i kind of like that first idea more...)

WELL, THERE ARE OLDER MUSICIANS OUTTHERE AND I DONT SEE THEY SUFFER A LOTS OF PRESSURE...

AND THEN, SEVERAL INTERVIEWS INDICATED THAT ROBERT ALREADY LIVES TOTALLY SECLUDED FROM THE STRESS OF MUSIC BUSSINESS....

yes, I think with experience, and *age*.. not the same pressure as the new younger bands ( as The Cure once was)... allows a more relaxed attitude , in recording and producing, releasing.. their fan base is established, althoguh new, young fans are attracted to our Band..  :smth023

why hurry excellence? .. which is a trait of our ol' Bob?    ;)
It is us.. the impatient fans waiting for them to release this nw album. That is all.  :!:

I THINK ROBERT IS JUST NOT THAT OLD HE SHOULD SLOW DOWN...

THEN AGAIN, THE CURE ALREADY 'MADE THEIR POINT', SO WHY STRIVE FOR A GRANDIOSE DOUBLE ALBUMS EVERY HALF A DECADE...

AFTER FOUR YEARS OF WAITING, THE FANS WANT NOTHING SHORT OF A MASTERPIECE, AND THAT KIND OF EXPECTATIONS ARE NEVER REACHABLE!

:-D

PS

HEY ROBERT!
THE B52'S HAVE A NEW ALBUM AFTER 16 YEARS.
IT'S A HIT!
