I just looked at my Amazon account to check, and the message states:
"Please take note of the revised dispatch and delivery estimates marked in red below.
Your order contains 2 deliveries. (I also ordered a book.)
Dispatch estimate: 12 May 2008 - 13 May 2008
Delivery estimate: 15 May 2008 - 22 May 2008." 
So I don't understand why they give you a later delivery date. Weird! 

I also looked for the CD single on the HMV.com website, and it states:
"Release date: 13-5-2008. Availability: despatched within 7 days."

7 days!  :roll:  I wonder if there's some kind of distribution problem?
It's not as if I can just walk into a music store here in Norway today, and buy the single over the counter. 

The other thing that's bugging me, is there is absolutely no details for the Freakshow single, supposed to be released 13th June.
I mean, Amazon have pre-release details of all sorts of things on their website, but there's no mention of any more future singles from The Cure. Nor on HMV either. 
I guess we just have to be patient, and wait... and wait... and wait...  :(

Yes - I'm still waiting as well...I pre-ordered the CD single last week through a local record store that specialises in imports and received an email stating it would be shipped within 2-3 weeks.....

I found some consolation though - just bought a copy from the Aus iTunes store - $2.99 for both The Only One (Mix 13) and NY trip.  Ok, I'm just really impatient and had to have a copy NOW!!  Glad I did though, sounds GOOD!!

Stupid Italy.
it was supposed to be out last Friday (we usually get the records some days earlier because the distribution happens only on Fridays)..instead, it will be out next Friday for a trouble in the last week...
'till then we can't listen to the new songs (i mean, to NY TRIP...i listened to "The Only One" by streaming).

and i'm going to buy it in vinyl and cd.

it's available in every "usual" store...
so far, fnac should have it. try to phone them and ask!

Looks like amazon sold out.  I had placed my order late after cancelling my order from ideal copy due to not wanting to pay lots for a non-existent box.

  The Royal Mail is going to recieve some hate mail if my CD doesnt arrive soon. HMV dispatched it last friday and its still not here. The post man has been to my house twice today but no cure single 
If its still not here by 5pm i think i'll have to download it cos im sooo impatient and excited and i really want to hear it.

finally, i bought it via iTunes and i'll buy it both in cd and in vinyl (i would've preferred just cd and vinyl but the ITALIAN stores had to be too stupid, so for the curiosity,i downloaded it via iTunes and now i need to wait until the end of the week to buy the cd and the 7''  )

The Only One is great as a single, i love it! and the thing i'm very happy about is the production, it was since "Wish" The Cure didn't sound like this.
GREAT to see also that it seems they're selling good! on iTunes the popularity of "The Only One" is very very.... "High" 
On amazon it seems alreay sold-out!

NY Trip as everyone said is very beautiful (it's a sort of Wish meets Wild Mood Swings' echoes)

obviously i've listened to them just twice,
i'll have more to say later in the day.
