There she is... it's already Christmas for me.  ;)

It's good that Mr. Liessmann explained his mother's quote.  :smth023

I could also say a few things about it, but I have to rest my right hand for the time being.

How An Eagle Squadron Was Wiped Out In Minutes | Morlaix 1942

The person who arranged for the conversion to Spitfire IX shares responsibility. Mark Vb with 30 gallon auxiliary tanks could have performed the operation better. In a Circus or Sweep, the goal was to attract opposing planes. So why wasn't the mission canceled or postponed?!

Quote from: armyaircorpsmuseum.orgThe 97th Bombardment Group was part of the 8th Air Force in England from June until November of 1942. They transferred to the newly created 12th AF in North Africa in November of 1942. They then became the 15th AF based in Italy.

Hmm... it seems they couldn't cope with the weather.

EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS (ETO)

Eighth Air Force: Mission 12: 75 B-17s and 36 P-38s are dispatched to
attack Cherbourg/Maupertus and Morlaix/Porjeau Airfields, France; 16 execute
diversionary missions but the remainder are recalled due to adverse weather.

The cameraman was visibly moved. This partly affected the image quality. Cases of arson, theft and damage to property in cemeteries in Central Europe are not uncommon, but this is of a different quality. There is just one thing I would like to point out in this context, and that is the social media hype surrounding Judaism, which Dr. H. Abramson regretted over the past year. I would like to join in without coming off as an anti-Semite.

BREAKING Into The Tomb Of Mary Queen Of Scots

The video is timely because I believe it is possible that her will will be respected and that she will be buried alongside her first husband. Otherwise her soul will have no rest. She deserves it.  :pensive:

Quote from: WikipediaThe Battle of the Lys, also known as the Fourth Battle of Ypres, was fought from 7 to 29 April 1918 and was part of the German spring offensive in Flanders during the First World War. It was originally planned by General Erich Ludendorff as Operation George but was reduced to Operation Georgette, with the objective of capturing Ypres, forcing the British forces back to the Channel ports and out of the war. In planning, execution and effects, Georgette was similar to (although smaller than) Operation Michael, earlier in the Spring Offensive.

Quote from: WikipediaThe earliest settlements on the Kemmelberg date back 2.500 years, when Celtic tribes of the Hallstatt culture populated the area. The hill takes its name from Camulos, the Celtic god of war.

Spitfire ML295 Gun Camera Footage

I did a little research in my RAF files. After the aircraft had been declared as Cat.E, i.e. 'total damage', on July 30th, 1944, the trail was lost. But obviously it must have been repaired! This is proven by the 8mm recordings, in particular from December 27th and 29th, 1944. But F/L R.M. Cook flew NH380 on those days. They are so fascinating because, after almost eighty years, they undoubtedly reflect the German machine type, so thank you very much.  :smth023
