The Invisible Man - can someone explain?

June 1980 - Muziekkrant OOR (Dutch):
                           Robert says the new songs are different.  Less personal, more about general feelings.  ‘Sometimes they’re about small things that people don’t see’.  An example?  ‘The Invisible Man, which is probably the new single’.  What’s it about?  ‘Wait and see, it’s another allegory like A Forest ..
        maybe someone know what the song it was? maybe it was the song which was erased from 17sec mastertape?   :smth100 :smth020
[backwards talking starts - see below]

[voice 1 - male]: "Yeah, and bring the van..."

"Oh no, the lights [???] gone out on the truck And they took the tyres and the gas"

[keyboard starts]

[voice 1]: "They've robbed the cash register too!"

Could be the 1st version of "The Drowning Man" as a lot of Faith songs were written around the same time as the Seventeen Seconds songs.  Maybe someone knows?

remember a forest n some shows was presented as IN TO THE TREES and i do no t remeber the show but once was presented as  AT NIGHT... 17 secaonds was played with different lirycs several times ... i do agree with could be drowning man in an early version...
