« on: December 27, 2007, 15:15:18 »
I just found this video on youtube:

Could someone say something more about this amazing video? The TV Show is called "Something Else" and probably was broadcasted by UK television. Robert is very very young!

i have a date for this as 30th september 1979, not exactly sure where i've grabbed this date though...
they played 'love in a void' and 'metal postcard' in this performance.
this was after john mckay/kenny morris had left the banshees mid-tour, in the beginning of september. the banshess continued touring nevertheless, with budgie and robert smith filling in (the cure was also supporting as we know, so robert played on two bands on this tour).
here's a site with some dates from this period, kind of interesting reading:

here's a site with some interesting banshess press articles, like gig reviews from this period:
http://www.untiedundone.com/

for instance:

i don't know much details about the video, sorry. but 'something else' was a well known music program on BBC2.
another famous performance from this show, around the same time is joy division, 15th sept '79:

Ay, in the very temple of Delight
Veil'd Melancholy has her sovran shrine
