This would actually violate our rules here, because we don't allow the sharing of lossy audio.

Yes, this was recorded in PCM format via analog, but the original stream was lossy (as is the case with all digital TV).

hmm i dont get it... by that logic arent fm broadcasts lossy as well?

oh well. sorry bout that...

Well, our definition of "lossy" is in reference to this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lossy_data_compression

That's different than the loss that may occur during analog FM transmission.

Now, digital-based radio is lossy, but that's another story.

interesting... So If I wanted audio for my own collction I prolly couldve saved myself alot of time by just ripping the video to mp3 rather than wav then flac, since id end up with the same end product anyways correct?

If you encoded it to mp3, it would be double lossy.

Really, the ideal way to archive it as audio-only would be to save it in FLAC or something similar, but like I said, that would violate our policy.

Basically, lossy sucks - because it creates silly dilemmas like this.

yeah. Between this and Rocks the Garden it is a little depressing. I mean these are the only professional 4tour recordings we have so far...

Many thanks my dear friend!!!

No problem at all in the process nor in the result!!!
...when suddenly, behind a tree, I appear
strange mixture of the one-before-the-last wanderer
and first stowaway on the trip to Venus.
Half melon on the head and the stripes of the shirt painted on the skin,
but only you see me...
