I've had the mics since April '09.  Had ordered them and hope to use them for Glasvegas and The Cure in April, though they didn't arrive until after I had returned from Las Vegas.  The Sony PCM-M10 is new.  I've only used it a few times, though this is the first master released with it.  The others were just for test purposes.  The mics are the best ones I've used and would put them up against any "stealth" mic and even several "open" mics.  The subcardioid element is pretty much the best of both the omni (for its full sound) and cardiod (for its ability to block the sound from behind).  Best way to describe it's characteristics is a full-sounding, focused mic.  I simply love them!  I've also switched from glasses mounting (as I did with my Sonics) to hat mounting.  The added height and brim of the hat are certainly an improvement when it comes to crowd noise.  The M10 is taking some getting used to.  Still trying to dial in that perfect level.  One thing I really like is that it has a 12 dB warning light (green) as well as the within 1dB clip light (red).  Other nice features are a seriously impressive battery life(up to 24 hours of recording off a fully charged set of AA batteries), a 4 GB internal drive as well as a mini flash card slot, and a fantastic pre amp.  I'm recording mic in stead of line in at 44/16 and am hearing little to no noise, even after boosting the levels in post-production.  One flaw is the back lighting.  The options are really limited (either too short or two long).  And with with what looks like no firmware upgrade options available, it seems I'm stuck with those limitations.

Not so keen on the last album but they still have plenty of energy live.
