Title: what's your beloved Cure disc in your collection?

Many fans here have a little or big collection of Cure cd's or vynil discs, and among them, one is the nicest, the greatest jewel...something which you would never sell for anything in this world. So what's yours?



Mine is a PROMOTIONAL VINYL disc where comes THE BIG HAND, A LETTER TO ELISE (REMIX) and A FOOLISH ARRANGEMENT...  8)

at the moment mines are:


12" just like heaven/breathe/a chain of flowers
this has never been produced commercially here and i didnt thought it existed till i saved this copy the early 90s (i bought a bunch of new wave records edited in peru by weight!!!!!)  No Sleeve! peruvian promotional

7" killing an arab small wonder label

7" the blood/six different ways spain

and my japanese vhs's!!!! i am watching now

kiss me sampler w/ the how beautiful you are remix.  even though the remix is available on join the dots, i still cherish this cd.  

lovecats 7" picture disc.  is this even rare???  i don't know, but i love it.  my first rarity purchase.

I got the guys to sign a copy of "The Cure" before the show in Mansfield, MA on August 7, 2004 ... greatest day of my life.  Little did I know, Strawberries Record Store had a merch booth and were selling signed copies for $15... but mine was free, and signed in person.

Mine is the same--my signed copy of "The Cure" is one of my most favorite possessions. Even now it makes me smile to remember that the guys all held it in their hands and I got to watch them sign it right in front of me!

"shake dog shake" promo (bought it in the early 90s for just 4 dm (approx. 2?!))
vital-dance promo dvd with the extended video of "pictures of you"
"a letter to elise" promo-cd with the extended version of the song (much better than the blue mix)
copulation explosion with a nice booklet and the roxy mix of "club america"

Is my favourite becouse it was my first Cure single that really introduced me to the world of INCREDIBLE Cure's B- sides ...

Same for me, with the other Catch 12" (breath / chain of flowers) and it's beautiful sleeve !
The double 7" "a single" with The hanging garden, one hundred years, Killing (live) and A forest (live), I was looking for it since years ...

Isn't that like the rarest Cure item? on eil.com it is like 1000$.

Mine is my Bloodflowers Promo and my Pornography UK first pressing. (I don't have anything thats rare)

My favourite item is the picture disc of the Disintegration album.
Has to be just about the best picture disc I have ever owned.

Also fond of the Lovesong 7" boxed single, because this was the first Cure item I ever bought.

My charlotte sometime vinyl single, my disintegration vinyl picture disc, and the Amsterdam 1979 at paradisio vinyl bootleg (my first !) and in relation with the Cure, my fools dance vinyl.

Boys Don't Cry cd with the original tracklist, including World War in a very good sound quality ... which is what we didn't get on the deluxe edition.

I think I might change my answer to Five Swing Live. I purchased this from the Cure site way back when for less than $10 I think. Now it's consistently selling on eBay for around $100.

If only I would have known and stocked up... I'd be rolling in the dough today. :oops:

I've got a Japanese Catch 7" that I really like and a Japanese Hanging Garden.  Both have different sleeves and are in really great condition.  I really love the cover art on The Blood, but I can't afford it.

"Faith" - Aus. LP in Mint condition, except that when I brought it home and looked inside i noticed that someone had written a message on the inside

"better late..."

I don't mind too much, because I wonder why he/she didn't write "than never". Haha. And also, who owned it before me and what did they experience when they first listened to it? And what were they possibly thinking when they got rid of it?? How many miles has it travelled and where has it been??

My mind thinks too much! :roll:
