I'll go. I have a friend who will definitely join me.

I'm going to get a lot of hate for this...let me start for starters I love The Cure of course... their 3+ hour shows are matched by not many. What a live act...last few times I've seen them I've been quite bored seeing them. I'm not into all their happy pop hits (which seems to take up a lot of their set).. I want the dark stuff. I must have seen them 10 times in the past few years and not heard 1 song of my favorite stuff Bloodflowers.

anyway I'm still a sucker and will go to their shows

If that's all you can report from a 3+ hour show, you'll deserve all the hate you're going to get. ;)
Not from me though. I didn't go to any shows for a few years now, as it didn't fit in my schedule to travel too far... but I would love to hear any set, more pop or more "dark". (And with 40 songs in a set, you're bound to get a few dark ones too.)

ciao

i' m home now.
xmas has been less sad to me as it should be, because i met again my friends in london and saw three fantastic shows. imo the best were sun and tue, they played better the last night, but sun was amazing because i think nobody thought they would play the entire the top.

anyway three happy days for me and a special thanks to francesco susanna my dear friends giampiero viviana and roberta.
and a huge kiss and love to david and jojo: you are very special persons you know!

The Cure did some 'dark' stuff (mainly the early trilogy -17 Seconds, Faith, Pornography- and part of The Top) but most of their albums are mainly pop (THOTD, KMKMKM, Wish, WMS, etc.). You got the full The Top in these concerts and other songs such as One Hundred Years, M, Want,... I am not sure if you will get something that you like more than this, unless the band plays the early trilogy in its entirety, something which I hardly think it will happen. Maybe if The Cure does something like Kraftwerk and play all their albums during a full week you will be satisfied, until then I think you should feel lucky enough to see one of the finest bands in the planet.

indeed Sunday was amazing because we were all surprised! It was nice seeing you again erpomata and hope there will be other chances to meet. Hope the band will choose Italy next year! All the best.
