So I have this cd called High I got at the record store the last time I went when I went up to LA to see Morrissey, idek much about it but some ppl have told me it's rare, is this true or not?? Because Idc if it is or not, I am just confused and want to know more about this album/it. Thanks mates. :

The track listing is:

High (Single Mix)
This Twilight Garden (Not On Wish)
Play (Not On Wish)
High (Higher Mix)

It's the only Cure cd I have, besides the hits (It's not really mine but I found it hidden away from the rest of my ma's cd's a few months ago n was intrigued by the cover, so I took it) thou I do have Pornography and HOTD remastered both on vinyl that I got those for Christmas n also Why Can't I Be You 12 inch single backed by a Japanese Dream I also got at the record store the same day.

Well it is the cd single (not an album), I bought it back in 1992, when it was new.
(What used to be 12" maxi-singles, turned into cd singles.)

No idea how "rare" it is. But I gotta say "This Twilight Garden" is one of their best "b-sides" EVER!  :smth023

This is an official release, not a rarity. Nevertheless, is an awesome EP.

Of course, but even an "official release" can become "rare", if it is "out of print" and demand is bigger than what's available. (However, it does not look like that's the case here.)

From that point of view, yeah. But correct, it's not the case with this EP.

When I bought it on release I got "High" in a box and it had room for further CD releases which obviously were "Friday I'm in Love" and "A Letter to Elise".
21.07.89 - Birmingham NEC
19.01.91 - Great British Music Weekend, Wembley Arena
01.05.92 - St. Austell Coliseum
25.06.95 - Glastonbury
16.12.96 - Birmingham NEC

...still too few times and far too long since the last gig!

While I have all three of them, I do not have a box to put them all in - I guess that one is a bit "rare".

It probably is mate. That sounds so cool thou.

I want all the singles from Wish n obviously Wish as it's my favorite Cure album n line up. I only have the High single I got at the record store a while back bc I loved Wish so much n wanted songs from it. High is one of my favorite Cure songs actually.

That is totally okay, it is a good song after all!  :smth020

Back in 1992, of course "Wish" was a highpoint for me, having waited for new Cure stuff throughout 1991... seeing them live on the Wish tour was a dream come true.

There is an alternate High CD single that might be rare though?

Comes in a cardboard sleeve and has a different-than-album version of "Open" as track 2 (it's the "Fix Mix" even though it's not stated as such anywhere).

Ah, mine is cardboard but it has 4 tracks and not 2 tracks.

sadchild

Ah sorry I should have been more specific.

There is a 4-track Digipack (cardboard that opens like a book and has a plastic tray). That is common.

There is a 2-track Cardboard Sleeve (like an old-style record, but only 5" not 12"). That might be rare.

If there is a 4-track Cardboard Sleeve, I'm not aware of it.
