They are Reebok Blacktops. I'm guessing they are a late '80s model. I've had these in my saved searches on eBay for a couple years ? haven't found any... Only ones I did find were a newer style that looks nothing the same. :x

I guess you can maybe see the brand in the Prayer Tour / Wish Tour book, or in the calendars. Check the calendar, you can see the shoes quite well (1987-1995) but I don't have them with me so I can't check myself...

For anyone who is interested, I've found out what sneakers Robert wears. They've almost exclusively been some model of Hi Tecs now defunct high top line. He also modified and I'm pretty sure colored some of the white sneakers black. Also he takes off the hi tec logo.
The pair I'm holding up are an old pair of Hi Tec Leagues.
The last images are old catalogue pics from Hi Tec and Roberts sneakers circa 1989.
My friend and I have been hunting these sneakers for years. No idea why as we don't have much interest in any other element of his wardrobe.

Note the soles of his sneakers compared to the ones on the top right on the catalogue page.

I finally found the exact shoes model Robert wears during The Cure's Friday I'm Love video. It's indeed Hi-Tech and the model is 'League'. No, there's no a black Hi-Tec League in black color, it's pretty clear the shoes were bombed with black ink (https://www.facebook.com/reebokshoearchive/posts/408037751127207), that's why they were impossible to find!
