Tristan Berlin

Hi. Does someone of you know the real reason Roberto Suave replacing Simon on bass. Long time ago I had heard he suffered from a kind of anorexia. Is this true? Please post, I have to know.

I hear he was getting a bad time due the divorce to his wife...and that's why he was some sick. He looked really thin :(

I hope he does not have anorexia. By looking at him, sometimes I wonder if he ever eats. Now, Robert on the other hand...

Simon isn't too thin now at all--he is very muscular and in great shape!
But in the "Show" video you can count his ribs.

I believe the reason was he was suffering from pleurisy, brought on by a bout of pneumonia..

Now what the cause of that was, only those close to the band will probably know.

He did look painfully thin on that tour though...
It can't rain all the time....

Yes, i saw them in Marseille, France, in november, the 2nd.
Simon didn't play (argh !),  and it was announced that he suffered from pleurisy (pleur?sie).
False or true ? I don't know.

I didn't know he didn't play so many shows from the Wish tour. According cure-concerts.de, he didnt play these shows:

02.11.1992 Marseille - Palais des Sports (France)
04.11.1992 Barcelona - Palacio de los Deportes (Spain)
06.11.1992 Madrid - Palacio de los Deportes (Spain)
08.11.1992 San Sebastián - Velodromo de Anoeta (Spain)
11.11.1992 Toulouse - Palais des Sports (France)
12.11.1992 Bordeaux - Patinoire de Meriadec (France)
13.11.1992 Rennes - Salle Omnisports (France)
15.11.1992 Lievin - Stade Couvert Regional (France)
18.11.1992 Birmingham - National Exhibition Centre (England)
19.11.1992 Birmingham - National Exhibition Centre (England)
20.11.1992 Edinburgh - Playhouse (Scotland)
21.11.1992 Edinburgh - Playhouse (Scotland)

He was replaced in the bass by Roberto Soave, as Tristan Berlin pointed before. Doing some search, I've found Roberto Soave was a member of Babacar, Boris Williams band after The Cure. He have also played with Laurence Tolhurst, thought.

If Simon had pleuresia, that's really an ilness that throw you to the bed for weeks. For those who don't know it, it fulls your lungs of water, and they have to pull all this water later with nails and...aich!...not funny...
