bloody hell, he was just ENJOYING himself for a minute, interacting with a young girl who will treasure that brief moment for the rest of her life!! And if we all "acted our age" what a damned boring world it would be...and that's coming from someone OLDER than Robert.... I thought it was great, seeing him writhe around and have some fun... he's not entering a dancing competition, just groovin' with a fan... good on you Robert, it amazes me you have any energy left, considering what you guys are doing almost every night... shake that booty Robert, we LOVE it!!...

Me too... I loved it in Milan when he danced a little -- it made me feel like "Hey, he's enjoying himself too!" It just seemed very spontaneous, and for a moment I almost felt like I was at some huge party along with the Cure members, instead of a concert-goer who paid a ticket to watch a musician perform on stage!

besides, where's the rule book which says that just because you are in your 40s, 50s, and even 60s, you should be home knitting and doing crosswords??!!
there's no growing old gracefully in my house....... all our friends and my sister are the same...."recycled teenagers"...   :-D
only here for a short time, may as well be a good time.....

@melly  i love the bit about 'recycled teenagers' !  :D

my mum is a recylced teeanger. she doesn't seem old, or act it. In fact, I have the bestest time with her ( she's hitting on 40now..)  :smth023

BTW. She can't knit.  ;)

I like Robert's quote: "Refusing to grow up is like refusing to accept our limitations"

It can be a good thing. I wonder what happened leading up to that moment. Did the little girl just find Robert backstage and start dancing?  :)

Skip to the end. Around the 8:46 mark.  A kazoo gets thrown on stage and Robert starts playing it. :)

I don't know whether this has been posted before... it's an in-between bit from the Staring at the Sea video, so I'm sure most of you have seen it, but I was reminded of it yesterday when it was posted on the Livejournal Cure community, and it's always fun to watch again... It's actually funny Lol/Bob/Porl stuff --Porl in particular cracks me up.
Been smoking something, boys?

Thanks for the clips everyone! But surely we're far from done with this topic yet?  ;)

I don't believe these have been posted:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=mu_TgQY9D3M&feature=PlayList&p=7444E22EFA090DB4&index=73
(Quirky little interview on a merry-go-round of sorts in a playground. I believe Robert makes up most of the answers... As one user points out, you gotta love how he screeches "SHUT UP!" to the kids (nothing nasty) and THEN they show who he is.  :-D By the way, I shall from now on refer to the In-Between Days video as In-Between Socks. Spot on.)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=z8mrUnA8-ts
(Interview on Jools Holland. "I was just testing the water". "We plugged in". "He doesn't know yet, but we know where he lives..." And watch out for the bizarre moment at 3:21, hehe.)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=0KIpPGYB4zQ
(Maybe not all-together fun, but I love it when he says "I'd jump in the river, rather than sing...")

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JUrJbqNnUog&feature=related
(Simon's had a few too many, I think. Lol has had a long day. Robert acts babysitter and suggests he "nestles down", which must be the cutest thing I've ever heard...)

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=fb7ozGl33iA
(Here's that Siouxsie And The Banshees vid with Robert in a wig at 04:09, by the way. Robert in jammies is also a treat (even if he's not much of an actor), especially at 3:12...)

Have fun now!
