Will The Cure play for the last time in 2018?

@Ulrich

I'm sorry for using "Rolling Thunder" instead of Rolling Stones. That means The Cure continues
without a change. "Hard Brexit" means a proper farewell concert/tour. I've said earlier that the latter
is almost unthinkable, but I have changed my mind meanwhile. Option b is very likely as well.

@WOAW
I agree with you that the 2018 Anniversary show could be the last one if he's going to invite all
ex-members. It's an honor that he has invited all fans to his party and I appreciate that. I used
the harsh words to prevent the discussion from any cliché.  :oops:

Huh? I've been saying the exact opposite of this.
I see no end in sight...
Option C is my vote... though it may involve some of Option B on the journey to get to Option C.

...that's purely talking about the physical though ...and the truth of existence is beyond time ...so if we learn to listen deeply enough we can hear the beginning middle and end of it ALL ...so it's never going to 'end'
...and that is Option D!  I vote this!!

I feel I recall RS saying somewhere a while back that each tour could be the last, and having that mindset is helpful in appreciating each show even more.

Hmm. You wrote this. Is that empty talk? I don't think so.

(Where is my wing-man??)

O yes, it's a perfect spring day...

As I do remember this quote from Robert: I understood it in a way that Robert wanted the band to think it could be the last one, so they will give everything and play their best shows...
No "empty talk" here.

Now Robert has done a new interview (after years of silence) and everything looks quite bright!

He has the urge to write new songs & booked studio time to record demos! :o
In 2019 the band plans to tour around the world again; festivals & own shows, anniversaries & maybe shows with new stuff are a possibility (but he says if the demos won't work, it "doesn't really matter")!

It's not over yet, let us enjoy the next few years, Curefans!  :!:
