REM will headline Saturday, The Cure tops the bill Sunday night, and The Flaming Lips close things out on Monday.  I wasn't planning to go monday, but just might have to.  no clue yet who else will play what days.  I recommend checking out "Awesome" if you get the chance.  they are...well...awesome  :P  And then there's Rodrigo Y Gabriela  :rocker  A pretty nice draw imo.

I'm going to be at this one, I'm planning to drive from the Seattle area, if anybody is looking for a way to get there, PM me, it would be nice to chat while driving to the venue :)

I'm planning on standing in front of the speakers.  Last year they had a camera section barricaded off just behind the left arch of the pit.  If they have that setup again, I'll be hugging the railing there.

As for needing to stay in the front all day to secure a spot, that's a tough call.  It really depends on how many other fans want to be there...and how badly.  Theoretically you could be front and center from the start, then, just before The Cure comes on, some pushy, obnoxious concertgoers could come in and just weasel you out.  It happens all the time.  Usually Cure crowds are more laid back.  Sasquatch isn't a Cure crowd, though.

punx_chix

Yeah I guess we'll have to see how the crowd is..I highly doubt that I'll stand there for close to 10 hours, because most of those bands I'm not really looking forward to watch, but I WILL do what I have to, if it means using my elbows..so be it!!

Exactly.  others will, so why not you to?   ;)

punx_chix

I'm half joking about the elbow thing, but if someone is going to try and steal my spot I'll have to defend myself.. right?!

I hope they play an extra special set for us since the Seattle date got so f'd in the a...they should pull out some reall classics....

They're only promised 2 1/2 hours, so it's going to be a shorter set.  I'm sure the pop stuff will remain and the edgier stuff will get tossed out.  Hopefully, they'll surprise me.  They do play Faith quite a bit in Washington ('96, '97, '04) and ending with the Faith, A Forest encore like they did at The Gorge during The Swing Tour would be a fantastic finish to close out the night.

punx_chix

yeah I read that 2 1/2 hour bullshite too, it sucks.. but thats why I'm driving my dumbass to san jose! yay

and honestly since I'm a live cure virgin I will love ANYTHING they play so I should probably shut my mouth... but faith would be amazing!! :smth023
