Very rare and early Robert Smith photo, unsurfaced till now!

Robert Smith, singer of the English New Wave band The Cure, in concert in de Melkweg (Milky Way) Amsterdam. Behind him, bass player Simon Gallop, just recent in the band, is also visible. The concert was held in the only concert hall of the Milky Way at that time. This small hall could fit in about 400 people, but just 200 visitors attended. This concert was recorded for broadcasting on Dutch radio for KRO. A few months later, when their new LP ‚17 Seconds’ was released, The Cure became a world famous band, due to their single ‚A Forest’.
This photo shows an ordinary Robert Smith, whithout any make-up and backcombed haircut, that became part of his image when he turned into a famous pop star.
