End of the show. 40 songs for Rio de Janeiro. Low attendance, about 9,000 persons out of a 18,000 venue capacity (according O Globo). Let's wait for some reviews tomorrow! Off to bed now :)

A STRANGE BOY

OMG the encore 4....wow!!

they didn't play that encore. that was a setlist that was leaked before the show. they will probably play that one in another southamerican gig.

no esperes mucho. el setlist que tocaron en Rio sera el base de la gira Sudamericana.

the setlist they played yesterday will be the base of the South American tour. personally, the setlist is disappointing. it's the same set list they played last year in Europe, and most of the songs (over 90% of them) are being played in The Cure gigs since 2007. I was hoping something different given they didn't play in South America for almost two decades. if you are following the band for years, then this core set list will be disappointing for you. if you're seeing the band for the first time in your life, any setlist will probably do the night for you.

of course, it's always a great thing to see The Cure live, but given the special circumstances, the huge venues, the long time they didn't play in South America, the "best tour ever" announced by Robert then you would expect something more. but the tour just started. hopefully there will be some more changes in the encore. for me, it will be a deja vu.

and by the way, pretty disappointing the low attendance for this show. Brazil is the biggest country in the region. it's amazing they only filled in up to 9,000 persons in a venue with almost the double capacity. at the same time, we can't blame people for not going given such high ticket prices.

majask

I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was the second time I saw them (first was in London, 2003) and I'm pretty sure that fans here loved it completely.

And tomorrow we have some more... ;-)

Trust...

erpomata

the same setlist of 2012...
i'm glad i didn't come to SA, as i attended 3 shows last year, and it would be a waste of money... :(

i don't think they will change setlist, maybe one or two songs, but no surprises like last year.

anyway latam fans, enjoy the shows. we europeans are lucky to see them every 3 or 4 years.  :smth023

yes indeed. i was expecting much more from the setlist on the current LatAm2013. A little bit disappointing from that point of view.
