Post by: nausearockpig on September 19, 2008, 10:55:14
Unsure exactly what they're gonna play but the "Youth Network" in Australia is going to b/cast something re The Cure on Sunday night Aussie time.. by the looks of it, it's a one hour special where The Cure are programming their fave songs with a bit of blah blah

info is here:
http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/livemusic/playlist.htm

You can stream it from the "Listen Live" link on  http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/listen/

Anyway, I for one will be listening to it.

Actually there are a lot of good bands being broadcast over the weekend starting nowish!!!
Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up nausea.  Was well worth tuning in for.  I thought the quality was surprisingly good for something recorded in 1981.  Wonder which Aus city it was?

i can't/couldn't make the stream work so didn't listen to it, but there's a well-known triple J broadcast from sydney 1981-08-17 (partial show) so i assume this is the one in question:

Yeah it was the same one that they always seem to play [sigh...

I think I taped it last time it was b/cast, and we shared it here with Caley's help..
