I always saw the band using commercial flights. For example:

Thanks.  Wife and I going to voodoo fest in November New Orleans and The Cure is playing.  We have back stage access hopefully we will get to meet them.  I'm flying our plane there and I usually spot or see some high profiler occasionally if they have private aircraft or charters. Thanks for info.

Bit more diplomatic, might be more successful.
But having said that, I'd love to join you all on a trip with a private plane!  :lol:
