Recently, someone mentioned to me that there was an interview where Robert said that the song "High" was about his relationship with fans of The Cure. Can anyone confirm this and/or possibly link me to that interview, if it exists?
I've found this interpretation (http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/7599/) which seems to make sense. Anyone has other sources?

The connection between the song and poem is more thematic than lyrical, but there are hints. The word "sky" in the first line of the song evokes the title of the poem, and the title of the song evokes the second stanza of Shelley's poem:

The blue deep thou wingest,
And singing still dost soar, and soaring ever singest.
Google the poem and read it slowly; you will see how the sentiment of the poem inspired the song

Whatever the meaning really is, always keep in mind that whatever RS has ever said in any interview should be filed under "potetially unreliable". ;)
