- The band might be back on stage in late September.
- The new album might be released in summer.
- The new album would be released in Fiction and "it's an album that is really different to anything else the band has done before"

Well, in this case I think that 'might is right'. Meaning: I wouldn't be surprised if Robert still changed his mind one more time and decided to record a new album with the new line-up before '4:14 Dream' sees the light of day...

13 SONGS ON EACH DISC, MOST WITH WORDS AND VOCALS, BUT A FEW WITH WORDS AND NO VOCALS (IE. 'INSTRUMENTALS WITH WORDS'...!) - THE RUNNING ORDER WAS FLUID, AS I WAS CONSTANTLY REARRANGING THE ORDER IN WHICH THE 33 A4 'MASTER SHEETS' WERE STUCK ON THE WALL OF THE CONTROL ROOM... CHOICE CHANGED DEPENDING ON THE PROGRESS OF THE RECORDING...
WE PLANNED TO RELEASE 4 OF THE ALBUM SONGS AS 'SINGLES', PLUS 4 'B-SIDES'...
LEAVING A 'MARGIN OF ERROR' (SHOULD WE NEED IT) OF 3 SONGS...
HOWEVER, TOWARDS THE END OF THE PROJECT, I RAN OUT OF THE ENERGY AND CONVICTION I NEEDED TO RESIST A GROWING COMMERCIAL (AND TEMPORAL) PRESSURE FROM INDIVIDUALS AND RELEASE STRUCTURES I WAS OBLIGED TO WORK WITH, AND (TO MY DISCREDIT?!!) ABANDONED THE DOUBLE ALBUM/INSTRUMENTALS PLAN...
INSTEAD I COMPILED '4:13 DREAM' (13 SONGS WITH WORDS AND VOCALS), AND IT WAS THIS SINGLE CD ALBUM, ALONG WITH THE 4 OTHER 'B-SIDE' SONGS ACCOMPANYING THE 4 (REMIXED) SINGLES, THAT WAS RELEASED IN 2008
COMPILING A SINGLE CD ALBUM REQUIRED A DIFFERENT APPROACH (FOR ONE THING THERE WAS NO LONGER THE TIME TO 'SPREAD OUT' AND CONNECT THE DIFFERENT MOODS AS I HAD ORIGINALLY INTENDED... )
AND AS A CONSEQUENCE A NUMBER OF (MY FAVOURITE!) SLOWER SONGS AND INSTRUMENTAL PIECES WERE LEFT UNFINISHED AND UNRELEASED

Still, I'd love to purchase both copies. I think that's a wonderful idea to release 4:26 scream. Remixed songs from 4:13 and new songs... and apparently new-NEW songs for 4:14? Different versions of the unreleased songs?
Christ, that's actually a little confusing. Albeit I have no clue what the 'vocal and words' parts are all about. I guess we'll find out! And great news about the Reflections. I think he got a great kick of excitement from playing the shows that he was basically like "Lets do it now then".

This is all sounding very "hopeful" for us fans. But I have my doubts we will see 3 or more Live DVDs! That would seem a bit much at once and difficult to sell to the "occasional" fan.

IMO this "news" does not add much to what we knew already. I think we're just like at the beginning, as we all knew/know there were plans for a DVD release of the LatAm2013, but this "new" information says no much about the date of release (end of this year, next year, etc.) which is what matters. I really hate this about The Cure :P It would be better id they don't say anything until something is done. We all are still waiting for years for the In Orange DVD, the Paris 2008 DVD, the Reflections DVD, etc etc... :roll:
All of us are impatient for the live DVD bur you know Robert is a perfectionist!!! We should still wait...
