Great news, finally!  :)
BBC6 is a quite reliable source too, so there is much hope that it will come true.

And also new Trilogy shows  :o

"Following The Cure's previous full-album shows, this new series will reportedly feature the 1980's albums The Top, The Head On The Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me played live in their entirety"

And the "new" album is going to be the "old" recordings made in 2007/8 (i.e. the session for "4:13 Dream", hence the working title). While I'll be happy with anything I haven't heard before, I'd also like to know what The Cure has to say "right now" (meaning new songs written in 2013/14)...

Last time they did a Trilogy show (Reflections, 2011) they played a single show in Europe (London) and SIX in the US. Let's hope for more shows in Europe this time -and if possible, outside the UK: Central Europe would be nice ;)

My oh-my, some people have problems...  :-D

Some comments by me:
Wien (Vienna) is certainly not in Germany (it is in Austria)!
"Wish" remaster might still be released at some point in time - just don't hold your breath...
Tim Pope himself said it should be quite a while until he finishes something from the Latin America tour, so I wouldn't expect to see this soon(ish)...

I myself never saw official confirmation for most of those "releases". If you don't like to hear about plans, rumours etc., I suggest you only read the official statements (still no 100% guarantee though!)...

Yes, I wonder. Why all this madness, and above all: will it ever stop?

Well, imagine: you're a musician, you're being interviewed and tell them about possible future plans...
Later you find out it didn't work out, but - oops, it was being recorded and people can still hear/read what you said 3 years ago...

Ulrich, thanks for pointing up the Wien/Austria thing, I didn't really pay attention to that and the german name of the event tricked me!

As for the rest, I totally understand the changing of plans and all, of course.
The "madness", since you bring it up, for me it's just that for the projects mentioned in the post they make it clear that they really do want release this stuff because they (Robert) talk about it at many takes, so it's not just an idea. The shame for both part, the band and the fans, is that for some reason it takes so long to get the tasks accomplished, that eventually the project stay in stand-by mode forever. Isn't that a pity?

My post is not an angry one, just a sad one. There's a difference. I love The Cure, otherwise I wouldn't be spending my time writing all this stuff on a dedicated blog. I just would have loved to see this projects to be released smoothly and naturally, like other bands do. And I just can't understand where in the process everything get stuck, and it gets abandoned.

Anyway, the latest announcement are great hope that something is shaking off, so let's wait and see, hoping for the best out of it.

Cheers...
;-)
