any news on coverage on tv??? as it is an MTV festival, pretty strange they don't broadcast a thing live from it (at least I haven't found out so far...) - for example MTV Germny always has live coverage of their MTV Campus Invasion Festivals in summer. so, hopefully that doesn't mean it will be just recorded for those goddamn-awful 30min MTV live slots... (take 6 hits and include an awful lot of advertising clips inbetween + make sure the camera won't rest for 1sec on the same person). wouldn't surprise me though, as it is NMTV anyway for years now (that is No Music TeleVision )... where are the days of MTV Europe and Paul King, Steve Blame and Ray Cokes when you need them...

Is it a full concert or just a handfull of songs?
Obviously it is not on the tour 2008 list, but do we really know what to expect as far as length of performance ?

:!:

~edit~  if the soundchecks include :
A Boy I Never Knew
The Holy Hour

sounds pretty good!  8)

Cure have two and a half hours to play.  I would consider this a tour date based on the set length.

two and a half hours sounds pretty good. If you consider the longer they tour, the shorter the setlists and number of encores. At the present time.

It would just be magic if it was broadcast here in OZ.   :rocker

sorry for you!
even though it's pretty strange.
they were supposed to be playing 2h30m and actually they played 2h10m...
so the second encore could've been possible.

i assume they've had an 0.30 curfew and as they started late they had to play less than 2h30m

just good to read that they didn't actually do Holy Hour in the actual show there, throw such a gem away to a crappy MTV Event would be a kick in the a*s for every paying fan of the shows before... maybe even Robert didn't like it - couldn't blame the band, to play at the same event as Him would definetely attack my stomach...

cheers for the info, the only bad thing is: MTV Italy is unlike some other MTVs (Germany for example) not FTA via Astra, but it looks like the gig will then possibly be shown at a later date on other MTV stations... strange there is no news from Spanish MTV so far, though...

actually MTV Spain already broadcasted parts of the MTV Winter show...
- first broadcast March 15th , followed by a rerun a day later -

their March 15th broadcast had an Interview followed by nine songs -
Plainsong, FTEOTDGS, PP, ID, JLH, W#, DIS, FS, WCIBY?

I saw it.
