Who Sings What ? please help.

Hello there,

I've got some old tapes (from the 80's until 2000) on which there are tracks I love but i don't know who sings them. Not The Cure obviously!

Would any of you accept to listen to some extracts of the songs to check if you could recognise them? I'd really appreciate!

I must let you know the extracts are short though, and not with a good sound.

Nevertheless anybody's help is welcome!

no, i don't think it is a bad idea at all. i myself tried listening a couple of samples but i didn't recognize any of them so far, sorry (so perhaps it's me who has  poor taste in music?  )

Let's say we both have DIFFERENT taste in music, but equally good! 

I'm glad the links work properly at least. I'm not really sure I should contact people directly, maybe crowbi will sometime come over and visit this topic, won't he?

I'm in the same boat.  I listened to a bunch of them, but none were familiar.  I think crowbi may be extremely busy with work at the moment, but I'm sure he'll be around when he has a few minutes.

some songs are from the 80's, so take your time, I can wait another 20 years before I get the answer!

@Fabien G: by the way have you tried googling up some song lyrics? i've sometimes found out this works quite well, at least i've sometimes found a name of some song/it's performer  this way.
so perhaps try picking some sentences (preferably complete) sung in the lyrics and google these?

Yes, I have tried this for ALL my samples when I first compiled them last year, and managed to find quite a few. Nevertheless, it's getting harder and harder now, with the ones left that I haven't recognised yet.
It can be because I made a mistake when choosing the extract from a song: I always chose the moment of the song that makes me recognise it, music and voice, I can sing the song when hearing this extract. But if this special extract the lyrics are "come on baby come on", that's quite useless! There must be 10000000 pages on the net with these words!   
Or else, sometimes, I just can't manage to understand the words!
