curefans.com will be migrating to a more modern software to handle the forum starting 2017 - or maybe some days before, we will see ;). Among other features, we will have:
  • @replies, so you can @username someone and message them within a thread.
  • If you like a post, you will have a heart icon to like it
  • If you like a post, you will have a chain icon to bookmark the link
  • Want to share an image? Just copy and paste. Or drag and drop!
  • As users participate by reading and posting, they gain trust – and powerful abilities to help maintain the community and push out trolls and spammers.
  • You can reply to one thread while reading another, this is really nice if you want to refer to a previous topic.
  • Support for Facebook and Twitter authentication
  • People can easily split off conversations to a new topic.
  • Remembers where you left off so you don't have to reread the same posts over and over, making it easy to "catch up" when visiting the site.
  • Autogenerated email summary reports for users.
  • You can answer a topic from your email and it will be automatically posted to the forum.
  • Infinite scrolling (no more "Next" to go to the next page)
  • Links automatically expand. Want to share a cool link you found? Just paste it in on a single line and it will look awesome.
  • And more...
Please notice we probably won't be able to migrate the private messages, but the "old forum" will be accessible and thus you will be able to read them.

Dear all, 2017 didn't start too well for me, health problems, an unexpected expense to the dentist (400 EUR) and lots of changes at work...but I will find some time to take a look to this during the next days.

Thanks a lot @Ulrich for looking at the forum!

Thanks a lot @Ulrich for looking at the forum!

There wasn't all that much to do, but indeed I wondered where you'd been!
Sorry to hear about your troubles, hope things will be better soon.  :)
