Woah! RAD!  :smth023

I like the head part of it...nice sleek design!

Is it really named after him? That's cute!  :)

ummm..CV... it's what scatcat calls her guitar..."Bob"... I doubt if Robert named a guitar after himself that it would be "Bob"!!!! :-D

funny melly  ;) scatcat's  RS-1000 is called ' Bob' , she named it that, of course. she caresses it daily
The guitar she called 'Simon' is a red ( how spooky=red hair) basic acoustic.

we often play together, she is really not an accomplished player., ( I can say this because she is not around for a few weeks  ;)

The RS-1000 is really a fine acoustic.
Plus the fact that it looks so hot. Sounds so fine.
It was great seeing Robert playing this particular guitar in the recent concerts:
I showed her the pictures and she was in a buzzzzz

@closedown, I'm sorry but i don't know much about the guitar you have asked about during the 1990  gigs, but no doubt,
someone will pop in with either a link or further info for you.
i do know that curefan master has a link, knowledge and a website for you if you hang in there.

bye for now.  :smth035
Who am I? Who are you? Is this world what we percieve it to be? Do we even exist?

yup, definetely looks way better with this guitar + from the snippets I heard sounds better as well.
@CureCrusader - no problem, any help is appreciated - have asked 3 former guitarplayers so far + they haven't had a clue... that guitar had a really nice sound (and besides that the look was ace as well...)

yeah, @closedown, Schecter is great to play.

in regards to other guitars used during concerts, try the search function, I recall seeing a list of guitars used in all performances, or maybe it was on the net?
anyway, as soon as the mods get back, I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction, say, crowbi_wan , boneheadhaggar, or lostflower4..  :smth023

well, not too much of a fan of the Schecter electric guitars, the acoustic sounds nice though - the VI String obviously can't reach the Fender one but that would almost be impossible anyway...
I know of certain equipment lists (and have contributed to one or the other on the synth equipment, I am more a specialist of synths+drummachines...) - but they couldn't help me much either, most of the stuff is taken from interviews with Guitar magazine (and I think Soundcheck) + and those articles I am aware of are from 1992/96/2000. So I'll wait + hope someone can help sooner or later  :smth023

@CureCrusader: top one - hadn't seen that listening before! so, mystery solved - it is a (I think slightly modified) Val-Pro 88, surprises me a bit, that it is a 60es guitar though...
oh, and for all those fans of Robert Smith custon build guitars - have a look at this...  http://www.dubreuille-guitar.com/robertsmith.html
