Los Planetas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Planetas) are the best band to appear in Spain in the 1990's. From Granada.
Had they been British and sung in English, they'd be well known to you all.
Seen from a selfish point of view, thank god they're not. They sing in Spanish, but who cares.
In a way, it's the same as with the Cocteau Twins, no one understands what Los Planetas sing (sometimes not even the Spaniards themselves!), but the songs are great.
If I should compare them to any Cure album, it would definitely be The Top, as they're quite fond of psychedelia, although they sound quite different.
ps: Could any of you get this to Craig from chainofflowers? I've got no facebook, twitter or else.
Pleeeze. I think that chances are that he'll love this.
Ok. Here's a taster.
