Well, I don't know anything about it, but I'd probably rely on the review/comment on the Discogs page you posted.

listening to it right now... got it yesterday... sounds good! cannot tell if sbd or not, but crowd is not loud, sound is nice, typical 1989... songs played slower than later years... i like it!!

Not sure if I have anything from Oakland on the 9th.  I do have Los Angeles on the 8th and Shoreline on the 10th.  The good thing about The Cure going to places that the Grateful Dead used to visit frequently, is that there are still people with top-notch taping rigs and they sometimes have musical tastes not limited to GD and the like.  Which is why the Shoreline show from September 10th is so incredible.  It might be the best recording of the tour, closely followed by Dallas (a favorite of Roger's) and Houston.

Have you cross checked the talking between the songs with the ones listed here http://www.cure-concerts.de/concerts/1989-09-09.php ?

Probably that happened sometimes but the Mountain View 89 Bootleg CD Version Taper isn't related to the Greatful Dead taping scene. He's a long time Cure taper  ;)

The Oakland bootleg has the whole 16-song show but is missing all 12 encore songs.  And it's not a soundboard.
