Another MUST documentary

"Narrated by Academy Award Nominee Joaquin Phoenix and featuring music by the critically acclaimed platinum artist Moby, EARTHLINGS is a documentary film about humankind's complete economic dependence on animals raised for pets, food, clothing, entertainment and scientific research. Using hidden cameras and never-before-seen footage, EARTHLINGS chronicles the day-to-day practices of the largest industries in the world, all of which rely entirely on animals for profit. Powerful, informative, controversial and thought-provoking, EARTHLINGS is by far the most comprehensive documentary ever produced on the correlation between nature, animals and human economic interests."

somewhere it was written in some book "all animals are under man's dominion", it was declared the word of "god" (some nerve!) and complete disrespect of nature became to be esteemed as the sign of progress and greatness of man... when it should have said "all earthlings were created equal".
we either choose to live together or we choose to die together, and obviously we've chosen to die: and at the same time also take out most "eartlings nations" with us, as many as we can. now, why do i see a distant parallel here with a school shooter for whom killing himself is not enough but who needs to take with him as many as he can, before he goes?

this is a tough watch. you'll remember it next time you have a steak or wear your leather gloves or just say "oh kittens are soooo cute".
thanks for posting the link to complete documentary.

yes they are, but "humans should not kill animals" is not the issue here. the issue is that we have enslaved the rest of the nature - AND that we even give ourselves a self-granted right to do so. we pretend to be better than the rest. we stoop so low that we put sentences in our "holy" books that justify our actions. and that's a crime.
at the moment, we seem to have no respect to nature at all (and this will destroy us in the end).

at this moment, each year about 50,000 species become extinct. that's even up to 1000 times faster than new species can evolve:

that's not difficult mathematics, to see that at this die-out rate we're all going down.
