Lord Jesus Christ involved in Massachusetts traffic accident

Sometimes truth really is stranger than fiction. Earlier this week 20-year old Brittany E. Cantarella was given a citation after she failed to yield on a left-hand turn, striking a man in a crosswalk. That man was no ordinary citizen, though, as Cantarella's 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo collided with none other than Lord Jesus Christ.

Well, not the Lord Jesus Christ, but police have confirmed that the 50-year old resident of Belchertown, Massachusetts is in fact legally named Lord Jesus Christ. Seriously, people, we couldn't make this stuff up.

Apparently not gifted with the divine power to avoid two-door Chevrolets, the accident landed Christ in a local area hospital, but he was soon released with only minor injuries. Cantarella was cited for a crosswalk violation, and will likely have to answer to the Big Guy upstairs this Sunday.
