my favourite song in a studio recording version is ... Faith.
but as the same time i write it i have doubts in my mind... there are so many. 3 imaginary boys, seventeen seconds, M, sinking, other voices, siamese twins, the figurehead, the holy hour, a strange day, piggy in the mirror, lament, just one kiss, one hundred years, accuracy, secrets, the drowning man, et caetera...
for the live recording : M in Edimburg (16/05/81): the most beautiful and perfect guitar solo from Mr Smith.
34 years old,father of two children(Alia-14 & Theo-12), curefan since 1985.

it's impossible to chose only one song... :) If I'd have to move to a uninhabited island I'd definitely bring with myself any kind of versions of these ones

01 seventeen seconds
02 three imaginary boys
03 at night
04 in your house
05 a forest
06 siamese twins
07 the drowning man
08 the figurehead
09 m
10 cold
.... and faith
"...the kiss is dry and it's not the same you... "

like most bands i like, i can never decide what is my favourite song of all-time by them, because it either changes from week to week or they just have so many good songs.

but i think my favourites would have to be:
- Just Like Heaven
- Lullaby
- A Letter To Elise
- Charlotte Sometimes
- A Forest
- From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea
- End Of The World
- Wrong Number
- Pictures Of You

but as a fairly new fan, whenever i manage to get another album, i'm sure i will find more favourites.
"Robert Smith lied, Boys Do Cry" - Atreyu - The Crimson

Friday I'm In Love.
One of the greatest pop song ever.

egon_beeblebrox

It's between Plainsong and Pictures of You for me. First two songs on Disintegration. What a way to open an album!
"A Hand in my Mouth. A Life Spills into the Flowers."
