David Bowie Reveals New Album With Foo Fighters, Lou Reed & Others

David Bowie is set to release a new live album next month featuring guest spots from Foo Fighters, Lou Reed and The Cure's Robert Smith.

Sonic Youth and Pixies' Frank Black also feature on the album, which is called 'Birthday Celebration - Live in NYC 1997'. It will be released on April 26 in the US. A UK release has not been confirmed yet.

The set was recorded during the singer's 50th birthday celebrations at New York's Madison Square Gardens on January 9, 1997.

Pity... I was really looking forward to this, but according to CoF and this (http://www.davidbowie.com/news/index.php?id=20110317) it's no official release...

thanks for the update, if David Bowie official site (http://www.davidbowie.com/news/index.php?id=20110317) says this album is unofficial, then there's nothing more to say!
