Show's over, uneventful compared to two days ago.  Very eventful in the way of songs however.
Trust, Last Dance, Kyoto Song, Screw, Like Cockatoos, Prayers For Rain, At Night, M, and The Perfect Girl.  Those are the unusual ones, the rest are the ones you get most nights.  I still can't believe they're playing bloody Boise next and not playing Se...uh, where I live.  Looks like they'll live to tour another day, but next time there's NO SCREWING AROUND in the cow pastures of Washington State, OK??

QuoteDeer Lake Park is a stunning setting for a concert. But for acts associated with a darker and more atmospheric mood, perhaps not so.

The pastoral park setting lead Robert Smith to comment that he felt like he was strumming in his backyard.

While this would be right cool indeed, the ramifications of that for a Cure performance was one that commenced with a whimper and took a very long time to progress past anything but a polite attempt to show up for paying fans.

Ultimately, it was a total triumph.
...
Indeed, the lower the Sun sank the brighter the band shined forth. From very shaky beginnings, it ended in success.
